Now I poor down one bottle of aftershave after the other.
Wouldn't Listerine be the better choice? Drink all you want and then, when they put you to the breathalizer, you just tell them you recently used mouthwash :)

I too am a teen that doesn't get why a lot of people drink until they vomit then drink more. I also don't see how they can stand the taste of alcohol, too bitter for me. Last time I drank was at my uncle's 60th birthday, 1/4 of a bottle and I had the worst hangover ever next morning, that pretty much destroyed all of my alcohol drinking problems.

It's fermented hydrocarbons for krist's sake

Well, no.... alcohol isn't actually a hydrocarbon, if you drank hydrocarbons you would die. Alcohols have something that hydrocarbons don't, Oxygen. Actually alcohol starts of as a simple sugar such as glucose, then is reacted upon by yeast which converts the C6 H12 O6 ---> methanol + ethanol + CO2 + heat. The methanol is the dangerous part but has a slightly different boiling point than ethanol therefore it is easily seperated from the rest when it is distilled.

Frankly, I didn't realize you were underage when I made my post.
If you are thinking of making your own so you can get "comfortably numb" and because you can't buy it already made, you can just forget it.
You are seeking more trouble than you can even know.
I figure that you are too young to even understand the concept of "drinking responsibly" Though in many ways I believe that to be an oxymoron to people that under the age of about 30 that are just drinking to get inebriated.

He meant carbohydrate, I suspect.

I drink hydrocarbons - but the recently price at the pump has killed my habit a little bit.

I know fuel prices have gone up, but there is no need to start syphoning (sp?) fuel tanks.

You also seem to drink (school lab) hydrochloric acid :irked:. Does anything effect you?

Yes, thank you... I couldn't remember exactly, so I grabbed the nearest term that popped in my head. :D (I do that a lot... the word "tachometer" fell out of my head yesterday, so I kept referring to it as "the thing that shows you engine revs".)

Except that a tachometer displays the number of driven miles.

The speedometer is pretty nifty too.

Spike, I don't think this is a good idea man. I say NO.

I'll probably get flamed for this but oh well..... Drinking the stuff wasn't the first thing on my mind, (I'm still in the scheming stage so I haven't done anything yet) I was thinking about the possibility of selling it to kids I know who drink. I realise that it's very illegal and that's why I'm still debating if I even want to start this little venture. But it would be very profitable, and I could call myself the beer bandit. I really doubt I'll actually do it, me being real lazy and all, plus I'd rather wait a couple years than get caught.

I don't really feel the need to get ****ed up anymore, I stopped pot and found drinking to be fun yet unnecesary.

On a similar note: Which do you find less dangerous?
1: underage drinking
2: smoking pot

answer now__________

They are both equally illegal.

Speaking of illegal, doesn't talking about illegal stuff in a thread violate an AUP/TOS rule or 2? I'm too lazy to look for it.

I drink because it relaxes me. I used to drink very heavily when I went to parties, but I learnt very quickly that looking like an idiot is the LEAST cool thing you can do.

Drinking still gives me a little more confidence, but I've learnt to handle problems and stuff without it.

The same goes for pot. Smoking it just to get really stoned is stupid, but small amounts relaxed me. I quit because: a) I felt that it was of no advantage to me,
b) It is strictly illegal (see below).

And anyway, I'm not sure what the law is like in the States, but here in the UK I can legally drink alcohol in someones home if I have the home-owners consent, and I can legally drink beer or cider with a meal in a restaurant or a pub which provides meals. And I wouldn't get arrested if I was caught with small amounts of pot, so long as it was just for myself.

I'm currently 17 yrs old.. Legal limit is 21. I've gotten drunk (not to the point of throwing up) a few times. Me and a couple buddies would drive up to the local canyon, bringing blankets and pillows (tossing them in the back) and we'd find a pull off somewhere and just drink. We do it just to have a good time.. Sure, you can have a good time when you're not drunk, but its all themore fun watching your buddies fall and stuff. Thef eeling you get when your drunk is fun to experience too.. But we ALWAYS stayed up in the canyon for the whole night until the next morning when we felt okay to go back.

I personally enjoy the feeling of being "buzzed" and being able to just go out and enjoy it. I don't drink because its "cool", and i don't gloat about it either.

Oh, and all i've had is Smirnoff (ICE and triple black), only because they taste so good.. It's like lemonade but with a slightly more prominent taste, and theres alcohol in it.. Good stuff.

Er. Yeah.

Yeah. It is quite nice. Costs a bomb to get enough over here though. I don't drink spirits anymore, too dangerous...all I can say is be careful if you go down the spirits route. Being drunk can be fun, but it hurts if you injure yourself, and lots of people die after doing silly things while drunk...see that thread about the lad doing the burnout on his 'bike.

Advantages of spirits do include the fact that you absorb them quicker, so you are less likely to have an 'alcohol excess' where you drink more to get drunk, but you dont need more alcohol to get drunk its just the time it takes to absorb.
