Moral Dilemma

Well if it's true or not is not for us to debate here, my gf's bought me a game or two before, it's just a matter of them knowing what game you want. I let my gf buy me stuff if she want's to, people like to get other people gifts from time to time, I get her stuff and she gets me stuff. Just because you do things one way doesn't mean thats how everyone does it or should do it.

Buying me cuban cigars, a Rolex, or some new golf clubs would be ok. But videogames? Its like buying me a new shirt or some cologne set. Might as well just give me straight cash baby.

If this situation was real I wouldn't have my girlfriend be buying me things like videogames. It is like them trying to buy you the right clothes. This is true unless they actually know videogames.

My GF got me a prepaid gift card for my birthday, which was right before GTA:SA came out. She knew I was excited about it, and she said that's what it was for. I ran down and got it the morning it came out. What's wrong with that?

As for never letting your GF buy you anything, are you from the 1940s, or just a sucker? Good deal for her either way, I suppose... 👍

It is not as if I don't LET her get me anything. She knows it wouldn't be cool unless its something for us. That isn't a videogame by the way, its more like some commemorative jewelry or something decoritive for in the house or whatever. My point is this, why are people getting you gifts of such small value? I mean, do you exchange gifts everytime you go to Wal-Mart? Why not take a vacation with your loved one instead, or even just go for a drive in your sports car and have a picnic with them. Don't ruin any kind of relations with anyone over a $50 item. This topic disgusts me. I thought they are moderating every post? Or, did they just let that go since the game is almost out?

By the way, I am NOT wrong. This subject is purely a matter of opinion.

here is why:
1)you go to strip clubs and hire hookers if you don't have a girlfriend (morally wrong)
2)the claim that this thread was made for getting attention, and that he doesn't have a girlfriend (factually wrong)
3)assuming that he, and anyone else, is in the same financial position as you (assumptually wrong(is that even a word))
to young people, a 50 dollar gift is a pretty hefty amount! especially poor college students hah.

do'nt take this really seriously, i'm just picking you apart because i'm bored.

Blah blah blah, opinion, blah, opinion, blah blah, opinion, blah opinion, blah...

Thats all I see. If I didn't break up with my gf she would have gotten the game for me because she knew how excited I was about it. And I would have been thrilled with the gift. To me its the thought that counts.

And something else to consider... How long have they been dating for? If its only a few months then a 50 dollar gift seems about right...

Well...

Think about other girls. They would HATE your LOVE with GT series.

At least YOUR gf likes you sufficiently to give you this game.

Many of a party is waiting for it.

We may not have the same definition of what a gift is. It's not a problem about money. If you only accept very high rated gifts, well, that's your decision. But generally a gift is just a way to show to somebody that he/she counts for us . For your information, some people can't afford to buying a rolex for the person they love . It doesn't mean their love is less powerful.
Else, how would 90% of the people do ? In some countries, there are no golf fields, and giving your part of food can be considered as a precious gift.

Spend the extra time with your GF. No video game is better than a girl...

This was exactly what I was going to say. Spend those 4-7 downtime days with her, since she'll be on the sideburner once you get the game.

This post was made purely to get peoples attention......

I think YOU just try to get attention. If you don't appreciate a gift, only if it's expensive, then you don't care about girlfriends at ALL:trouble:👎!!!! And wtf are you doing here if you think this thread is ***??? It's your decision to post here or not, so if you don't like this thread and DO post here, you just want attention.............and then DON'T BLAME SOMEONE ELSE FOR WANTING ATTENTION!!!

So get out'a here:trouble: OR....I don't know if your that irritating everywhere but I'm sure MANY people would add you to their ignore list, your just asking for trouble:idea:

JBR-Man
Take it easy, folks.

Play GT4 and then go with ur gfs.

Yeah your right:guilty:
B.t.w I think he has received all possible solutions to this problem in no-time, can think of how this thread is so popular:irked::eek:

My wife was going to give me GT4 for Christmas, but I warned her that at the time, it seemed the game would be released in sometime in 2007. In any case, I'm waiting until work gets out tonight, and I can get my pre-paid copy at GameStop.

(Here's to hoping nobody picks up their car at 7:31pm tonight!)

In any case, my wife and I will play together until she gets bored, usually around the 5th real day of around around in Sim Mode.
