More badges

I see that we have a "qualityity post" badge, for people that have qaulity post. And "guide editor" too

I like that, but I think we should have other badges, like "crazy" or "smart" or something along the lines of that. It would work just like the rep and quality post, but a different name plate, color font ect.

Is any of that possible?

I think it would be kind of cool.

Just my though, what do you think?

IMO I think that a badge like "smart", would start the same deal with the "quality posts" badge. Lots of members would be hyped to get one.
"Crazy" I guess it would be awarded to one who makes "somehow funny-off topic-not so quality posts" which is what everyone is trying to avoid.

To me, badges are good in a way, they do make you feel better about yourself because you know you have contributed with something to the site, like the "guide's editor" one. But some members get too anxious about getting badges as they asimilate them to popularity in GTP, and because of this.
The removal of the ability to see your quality points was a good call by Jordan, and I think It was because of these reasons.

I don't think there is much badges that could be made without having a sort of "hidden meaning"

I have one badge and I feel fine with it. "Guides editor" sort of makes me feel important, like I contributed something to GTP.

Anyhow, I don't think we need more. Quality posts, Guides Editor, Premium, Moderator and Administrator are enough badges already in my opinion. Besides, how would badges be cool and prized if everybody had one?

We should stick to where we are. Making more badges available would encourage people to do silly things, especially if a "Crazy" badge was up for grabs. That's exactly what we're trying to avoid.

That's what avatars are for. If every person designed their own badge, you'd never figure out what they all are, anyway.

If it was based on the points system no. If however, we had another "Member's awards" perhaps the badge could be used for like a month or something?

you've given me an idea, ok, GTP has a status page, (where people are, whos online...etc.) but how about are "where I am" badge?
