I went to change the oil in my car and the new feature showing the after effects of any given action shows the following.
695PP to 694PP
908HP to 956HP
How can an increase of 48HP result in a lower PP rating???? am I missing something? it's not like I had no oil in the car and suddenly leaded it with 50kg of oil!!

There are a few cars for which this happens e.g. stage two vs stage three turbos on a Gillet Vertigo..
J. :)

Torque is factored into the PP rating. Maybe the torque went way down while the hp went up, resulting in an overall lower PP rating?

There is no way torque is going to lower by changing the oil

Its a glitch. the chaparral 2j does the same thing

I wouldn't necessarily call it a glitch. With the Shelby Cobra, you can gain PP by adding ballast (and I think by removing HP as well) because they each make it more predictable to control (the significant lack of downforce and the amount of torque it has makes it difficult to corner with). You'd have to be more specific about which car is causing the decrease.

I made sure the same thing happens to the X2010 too. An increase of horsepower by approximately 30~50 hps make the performance point decline by a slight change.(976 -> 970~974 pp)

This happens with quite a few of the high-end huge PP cars, including the X1's. I was under the same impression as darkblade though - that there is such a thing as too much power, and the PP starts to drop once whatever calculation they use decides it's too much
