HISTORY
Back in 2001, Polyphony Digital released Gran Turismo Concept, a spin-off of the GT series. One of their game of the series was the Tokyo-Seoul 2002. This was the first GT game to have Korean car manufacturers like Hyundai and Proto Motors (now Oullim Motors). This game was so popular in Korea that it wasn't that popular in other countries (because it was sold only in Korea). So what they did was to put all those cars in Gran Turismo 4, in different regions, including a Lexus IS 200 Race Car! I saw what Hyundai, Kia and Oullim was made of like the Genesis Coupe, Veloster, Forte Coup and Spirra and quickly imagine what would it be like to drive these cars in GT5.

Going into 2012, I am waiting for new content to arrive. So far, Car Pack 1: X, Car Pack 2: XX, Car Pack 3: XXX. Nothing from Hyundai, Kia nor Oullim. :(

Cars that are currently in GT5
Hyundai Clix
Hyundai HCD6
Hyundai Tiburon Turbulence '99 [RC2/Mk1] (GT4 NTSC-K)
Hyundai Coupe FX '01 [GK/Mk2] (GT4 PAL)
Hyundai Tiburon GT '01 [GK/Mk2] (GT4 NTSC-UC)
Hyundai Tuscani '01 [GK/Mk2] (GT4 NTSC-J/K)
Hyundai Tuscani CCS '03 [GK/Mk2] (GT4 NTSC-K)
Oullim Motor Spirra
Lexus IS 200 GT-1 Race Car

Cars that are not in GT5
Hyundai Accent Rally Car
Hyundai Click Type R

Cars that we want in GT5
Hyundai Veloster Turbo
Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Kia Forte Coup
Kia Cee'd
Daewoo Lacetti (a.k.a. Chevrolet Optra, Chevy Lacetti, etc.)
Daewoo Lacetti Premiere (a.k.a. Chevy Cruze, Holden Cruze, etc.)
New car from Oullim

So I may Kaz and PD this: WILL YOU ADD NEW AND PREMIUM KOREAN CARS?

Well, This thread is basically made for Korean cars.

If this thread will be closed,
Aw man! all that hard work for nothing!

Concept: Tokyo-Seoul 2002 sold around 10,000 copies. That's not really very popular...

The Korean version of GT4 contained more Korean cars you haven't listed, including the Lexus IS200 GT-1 Race Car '04 (look it up - it's listed as Korean), the Hyundau Tiburon Turbulence '99, the Hyundai Tuscani CCS '03 - all of which made it into GT5 - and the Hyundai Click Type R - which didn't.

Noted! And, I already wrote there "Hyundai Coupe/Tiburon/Tuscani".

BTW, was Concept Tokyo-Seoul 2002 mostly popular in Korea?

Yes, but the Tiburon and Tuscani you refer to are different cars.

The Hyundai Coupe/Tiburon/Tuscani '01 is one car with three different badges, one for PAL, one for NTSC-UC and one for NTSC-J. It's the GK chassis Mk2 coupe. The Hyundai Tiburon Turbulence '99 is a different car that wasn't in GT4 except the Korean version. It's the RC2 chassis Mk1 coupe. The Hyundai Tuscani CCS '03 is a different car that wasn't in GT4 except the Korean version. It's the GK chassis Mk2 coupe/cabriolet (folding metal roof).

Tokyo-Seoul 2002 wasn't popular anywhere. It was sold only in South Korea and sold 10,000 copies. It's almost as rare as any one of the special or media editions of any GT game.

Even though the names are different, they are somehow related. I just wrote the base names (i.e. Tuscani CCS, Tiburon Turbulence)

Umm... no. That's the same school of thought that would treat the 1963 Nissan Skyline and the R34 Skyline GT-R as "Skylines".

The five cars are:
Hyundai Tiburon Turbulence '99 - RC2/Mk1 chassis, coupe - GT4 NTSC-K, GT5
Hyundai Coupe FX '01 - GK/Mk2 chassis, coupe - GT4 PAL, GT5
Hyundai Tiburon GT '01 - GK/Mk2 chassis, coupe - GT4 NTSC-UC, GT5
Hyundai Tuscani '01 - GK/Mk2 chassis, coupe - GT4 NTSC-J/K, GT5
Hyundai Tuscani CCS '03 - GK/Mk2 chassis, coupe/cabriolet - GT4 NTSC-K, GT5

PAL got one of the five (Coupe '01), NTSC-UC got one of the five (Tiburon '01), NTSC-J got one of the five (Tuscani '01) and NTSC-K got three of the five (Tiburon '99, Tuscani '01, Tuscani CCS '03). It is important to distinguish the two extra different cars from the Tiburon/Tuscani/Coupe '01 which is the same car with three different names.

Few people have a Korean version of GT4 and that's why few people knew of the existence of the two extra ('99, '03) cars or the Lexus IS200 GT-1 '04 until they turned up in GT5. Also why few people know of the Click Type-R, which to date has only appeared in the Korean version of GT4.

Don't forget about the Daewoo Nubira. Wasn't exactly the hottest thing around, but after a few mods it could probably be a quick 450pp car.

Most of those Korean cars don't really interest me. In real life, I don't care for hyundai. On the game the Genesis coupe might be okay, but the investment into DLC, I would think it should be on something more grand.

And I don't think Proto has anything new out, other than a turbo charged version of the Spirra.

You can have your Korean cars if I get some more Australian cars, we have 3 ...

I'm not from Australia but I agree. Bring back FPV from GT4 and add some new cars from the V8 Supercars. Any cars loosely considered muscle cars really... 👍

I will NOT pay a cent for garbage. Instead of adding useless crap like korean car, they should put their time into making RZ Supra Premium etc.

This is pathetic.

This is game is about cars.

The main Gran Turismo commercial in Japan was "We love cars!".

That's like saying we don't want the MLS in FIFA 12.

Not every car has to be about Ferraris and Lamborghinis screaming until they explode.

I will NOT pay a cent for garbage.

How asinine is this statement?

The last five or 6 years the cars coming Hyundai and KIA have been outstanding. Hyundai particular has stepped up their last few models pushing design and aesthetics...

Forget it man. Too many narrow minded people these days.

I'd love more Korean cars in the game. This past decade shown what South Korea is capable of.

Kia makes beautiful cars these days & i like to see them in GT.
We had Kia Pride in my country (Iran) 13,14 years ago with this awful design & now they make very beautiful ones !

Name me a decent Korean car? As I can't think of any.
