emm.. and then what's this?

http://www.psxextreme.com/psx2/psx2_091399_3.html

The PS2 hard can't render a single pass image with the quality of a hi-res artwork(hard limitations), and the developments tools running in the serv PC can't render a single PS2 native frame, only can transfer the code to the PS2-Tool(a PS2 with more ram, HDD and extra debug and workstation functions for the programmers) and render through it with his hardware.

I'm tired of explain this..

For obtain game artworks no need to program aditional engine features, usually the devs render individually portions of a big picture with the PS2-Tool using the ingame engine and then transfer to the serv PC for mounting a super big picture with photoshop that reduced create the crispness of an antialiased hi-res artwork.

*sorry for my english.. :O
Thats plausable, but either way, the point I was making was that you don't need to create another game engine to render higher quality images, I know that what I said (bits of it at least I know of) are how it's done on PC game creating tools, but antde2001 seems to think PD need to create a second game engine to create higher res pictures. And the line of mine that you quoted has nothing to do with your reply, I was referring to as stated, fact that you don't need to spend all that money on making a second version of the game just for hi res shots of the game. 19 grand is not a high development cost, and the Tool is one of the developers tools so why you decided to say "whats this then" and make a valid point that has nothing to with mine, is beyone me.

Because you guys bite on his comments EVERY time. Its my personal opinion that people on this site are too hypersensitive about PS2 and GT4 for that matter. You can't make any comments regarding room for improvement without someone blowing a gasket.

That is true, many here can't even take a word of critism about GT or their beloved PS2s.

<Dramatisation>What you don't love your PS2 as much as I!?!?!! Now you shall feel my wrath! :scared: </Dramatisation>

/There amended a spelling mistake of a word I rarely use to appease people with nothing better to do

I think it's sad that people can feel so loyal to little black (or silver) box. It happens with a lot of things, but when a game comes out on another console that looks or maybe plays better, everyone goes into denial. It's like "holy crap, did he just say he prefers an X-box game of a PS2 one" it works the other way too and in magazines, I don't think I read a single review of PGR2 in an X-Box only mag that didn't attempt to slag of the GT series, it's stupid. All Code is doing is by saying the X-Box is more powerful and it can create better graphics every now and then is exposing all the PS fan boys, they call him an X-box fan boy then go on about how great the PS2 is, and that GT4 will be the best thing since sliced bread in EVERY way, sure it will more than likely be the best racing game ever when it finally comes out, but it won't be the best looking, and the PS2 won't magically be capable of things it wasn't capable of before.

Now you shall feel my wraith!
