Ok it didn`t turn out that bad. But i think if your try duplicate the motion blured layer like 4x you can get rid of those edges around the car. And don`t put the motion blur that high please. but evryting looks good.
Make sure you cut the windows and blur them, the blur angle seems spot on, like LGForce said, make more than one layer, make 4 each with decreasing motion blur and the last one should be gaussian blurred. Nice job for your first one 👍
I think this is a very well turned out first try. 👍 👍
The strenght of the motion blur is personal taste I´d say. With real photography you could reproduce that strong effect even with a slow driving car. Just open the shutter long enough. So in my opinion there´s nothing to say against the strong motion blur.
But there´s a slight unblurred halo around the car. LGforce and Dead_Poetic gave some good advice. I do it the lazy way:
1. cut out the car accurately.
2. copy only the car into a second layer.
3. motion blur the background layer.
4. on the background layer, push the cars halo under the car layer. (sweep it under the carpet) (dodge tool?, I don´t know the english term)
As gt_masta pointed out already, if the background is visible through the windows you have to do that motion blur with these parts as well, but not with the whole window. Just the visible background parts.
