There are only four cars I know in Gran Turismo 4 that have more than six gears: The GT-R Concept (and then the race car - I think), the Nissan Skyline 350GT-8, which has... 8 gears. And obviously the Formula GT.
Are there any more?

The Nike One has eight gears, as well. But given the monster torque it generates even at 2000 RPM, there might as well be only one gear; keeping it in eighth is the fastest way to drive it. Beyond that car and the ones you mentioned, though, I don't recall any others with seven or eight gears.

I had absolutely no idea that the Skyline Sedan has that many gears.

Back in the day there were quite a few cars with 7, in GT1 the GTO LM and the Castol Supra had 7, if you're curious.

Doesn't the Cizeta have more than six gears?

Cizeta has five. Not fun when you are LM tuning :(

Woah, the Skyline 350GT-8 is in GT4!? I'm surprised I never knew that...

The Bugatti Veyron has 7 gears (on GTPSP)

Honda Jazz CVT has 7-Speed in real life, but in GT4 its only has Drive gear :(

Are you sure about that? CVT means Constantly Variable Transmission, meaning it accelerates by constantly widening the gear ratio, meaning there is only one gear. That's why it basically gets to a certain number of revs and from there it revs up very slowly.

The Jazz CVT in real life has a CVT mode, but it also has 7 pre-determined "ratios" that you can select using paddles on the wheel.

AFAIK, GT4 only has the CVT mode. (I don't know what happens to it if you buy a sports gearbox)

It probably just becomes a full manual, just like the Prius.
