If I had $60,000....

I think it is just fantastic that they were able to bring it to the market without compromising anything. Autozine said that sales orders from this alone should double Morgan's business for the near future.

As a Morgan fan since childhood and owner since last year, I would love to also own a 3-wheeler. However, can't justify a 2nd crazy car to the missus and so it won't happen.

But Morgan is Morgan, so maybe I still have time to do it, give or take a few decades into the future to make it happen ;)

This.

It shows that with the right product, the typical British car manufacturer's bloody-mindedness can actually, occasionally, work. Morgan wants to sell a 1930s design today? They'll bally well do it!

How did they manage to get around regs for this, anyways?

For example, I can't imagine "motorcycle engine block" is a type of front bumper that passes pedestrian safety regulations.

Probably something to do with tiny production volumes. The powers that be usually turn a blind eye if there are only hundreds of something on the road rather than hundreds of thousands.

Also, if someone was myopic enough and deaf enough to step out in front of something as crazy and obvious as this, they probably deserve to get an engine block knee replacement.

Guys at the factory agree with you, listen to the last sentence of the clip ;)

The fact it is a three wheeler is the defining characteristic of the car. If four wheels and vintage styling are what you're after, Morgan has other options.

With that amount of money I would buy a Caterham but still, the three wheeler is the hell out of a machine to listen and behold.

It should have 4-wheels. 3 wheels is just a bit mjeh.

4 wheels are for sissies.

Also, you're rather missing the point of it. It's a replica of one of their first cars. If it had 4 wheels, it wouldn't be a replica...

It's true, I don't like 3 wheelers, it just looks wrong. Even if it's a replica.
But if it had 4 wheels, with this kind of styling, for me it would be awesome.
30's racers FTW.

It looks like something you would expect to see running around the Circuit de la Sarthe...in the 1920s.
