Most Disappointing Car in GT5

It's extremely hard to judge distance in this game. I have a 62" Samsung 1080p HD flat screen with the G27 hooked up to a custom cockpit I made with a black leather Cadillac DTS seat and armrest. It feels pretty darn close to the real thing. Yet your depth perception is a little off when your racing. However I've been told that the depth perception issue goes away when your using a 3D TV and the Eye. So for now I just try to use marker points for braking and turning.

If you raise the ride height to max on a veyron, that thing handles like a enzo.

The Veyron is the most dissapointing car in the game mainly because of how it can't stick to the road. Even when I stick Racing Soft tires on it it handles like a brick, but I will say this "brick" is epic when you tune it up for top speed.

For me it was the Bugatti Veyron. Yes it accelerates and handles like it should but why isnt it premium??? Why does the glorious W16 sound like a vaccum cleaner?

I've put down some seriously fast times with the Audi R10 premium. I put down a time of 1:13.002 at Trial Mountain and a 0:57.564 sec run on Eifel in the Supercar festival in Seasonal event. Without drafting.
I think people rely on the tuning forum too much. Everyone thinks that throwing a tune in the car that worked for someone else is always going to be optimal for them. I've come to the conclusion that in order to run the fastest lap times that you are capable of in any perticular car you have to do some practice runs with the car's settings all on default. Then change just a few things at a time. Or if your serious about tuning do just one catagory at a time. I have cars that drive best with the stock/default settings. Then I have cars that are absolutely un-drivable without some major tweaks.

The tuning forum provides a good base to work from. I followed a tune to help stop my modded Enzo understeering, then I altered it to my liking.

The most dissapointing car for me is the FGT. It seems to be a very unbalanced car, switching between understeer, oversteer and 4 wheel drifting seemingly randomly. I know most of this is down to it having low downforce compared to the F1's, but it still doesn't seem right to me, especially compared to how planted it was in GT4.

For me the most disappointing cars in the game are the Caterham Fireblade and the Tesla Roadster, as neither is clearly set up how it should be, and underperforms.

On the flipside, the '74 Countach and the Miura are better than they should be, as PD got the weights wrong (way too light). This seems more noticeable in the Countach though for some reason.

As for the Veyron, i'm still totally mystified by people bashing it. For crying out loud, it seems to understeer because you are approaching those bends MUCH FASTER than you would in any other street-legal car. Sure it's not a light car but there are far worse handling cars (give it to me over an Enzo, in GT5 at least, any day)

I tested 100 cars recently at Trial Mountain (all stock, used cars had rebuilds where required, SS tyres the only mod and all aids off except ABS at 1), comparing hot laps and the Veyron was the quickest on what can hardly be called a very straight, open track. There were a handful of cars within a couple of seconds, then a little gap, then the rest of the pack. The McLaren F1 was, surprisingly, a little down the list. I suggest some of you bashers do a fair comparison also, with clean laps. Just remember to brake a little more because you will be going so damn fast :)

EDIT: And if you do compare, make sure it's with PRODUCTION CARS! The Veyron is a street-legal car, not a racing car. Maybe then we'll see less posts along the lines of "I couldn't win Like the Wind in my Veyron blah blah blah it's meant to be the greatest fastest car ever, so what's up? Duuuh..."

Ahem sorry.

I'd be interested in the results of your test. Stuff like that is gold!!👍

The Enzo for me just won't turn unless you slow to a crawl due to no weight in the front.

Go check Praiano's tunes. 👍

Most disappointing cars for me? Guess what? Kei cars, the nazi box the hyppie box :)

Also Lancia Delta Integrale stock. No way! The real one is a different story.

I've always loved the XJ220 ever since it was launched, and it's always been on my 'if I won the lottery' list, so when I got hold of one in the game it was like Xmas and my birthday at the same time...until I drove it. Oh dear. I'd still have one in my lottery garage, but just to look at!

On the other side of the coin, the Nomad Diablo has blown me away, exceeded all my expectations. I absolutely love that car!

for me the most disappointing car? the C63 AMG , I really looked foward to it !!! because I just love that car. But the weird sound and the messed up roof/hood cam killed it for me... :(

Nissan OPTION Stream Z. Terribly bad acceleration. Just for fun I got someone with it to drag race against me.

Personally, I don't think that the Veyron is that bad! Maybe the reason why so many people are bashing it, is because they added every single HP increasing upgrade on it and they can't seem to figure out the technique/setup needed to be drivable to them. My veyron doesn't have all of the HP upgrades on it, mine tuned is only up to 1050HP, and I have racing-softs on mine. But I did everything else, suspension, transmission, drivetrain, and weight reduction on the veyron. Another thing to remember is there is a reason why they include the driving aids in there, maybe if you think it's undrivable without any Driving aids, why not try out the Traction Control to like 3 and/or increase the ABS to 3-5 to start out with?

On a different note, I think the worst car is indeed subject to interpretation. But there is usually one or two cars in each class/category that will take some extra effort to figure out. So with this in mind, among the 130 or so cars that I have fully-tuned so far in my Gt5 save file. the worst fully tuned street car in my opinion is the 3000GT VR-4. It's heavy even with the weight reduction stage 3, and it seems to understeer way too much for my taste. Honorable mention goes to the Viper ACR, just because of no adjustable front downforce and I can't seem to get it to turn on the indy oval even with all of the driving aids on, which means the only cars that I have to run the American Championship is my the Gt40 spec 2 and the Corvette C5R. In terms of race cars, I have to say the Lister storm v12 race car, because in every single GT game that this car is in, I cant seem to figure out how to make it drivable for me, even with the driving aids on! And combine it with the cost of 2,000,000 Cr in GT5, that's the only race car that comes up to my mind that sucks!

i wouldn't say the Veyron is that bad , you just got to learn how to drive it and overpower that stiffness
