The Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car and the Jaguar XJ113 Race Car are my favourites to go around the Nürburgring but I usually do the Nürburgring 24hr track, its a lot more fun

Any car with good cornering ability. For me it better not be too fast because that tempts me to go too fast, though my latest trip with the 787B went quite well.

That thing constantly tries to kill you , but loads of fun.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Lotus Elise '04 RM (stock). Such a zippy car and its responsive steering makes it very satisfying to hit those apexes. Challenging enough to be fun, but not a handful. You'll never notice the fact that it only has 200 horsepower or so because it's so small and light.

I agree, nothing better than a cockpit view. The bad point is that in GT5 , cockpit view is wrong, the eyes of the pilot shake together with the chassis when passing over any little bump. I would like to see a future update correcting this problem. Just PD check Iracing and do the same.
If not, cockpit view will not be to be as fast in GT5 as any other unreal view.

Alpine A110 is a gentle way to lap the ring on Comfort tyres. Not a porky lunatic dribbly monster like the Yellowbird...

My most enjoyable lap around the Nordschleife has been with the Ferrari 330P4, stock. Not as crazy as the RUFs but still a fun combination, and with room for mistakes.

My craziest lap was in the toyota 7 race car, fully tuned and with no aids. Managed a clean lap once, can't remember the time but it wasn't the fastest that car could go. bigger gentleman vegetables would have helped.

Took the Toyota 88C-V around once and nearly pissed myself, especially on the back bendy parts after the carousel.

The Ferrari seasonal challenge was immensely enjoyable too on the 24-hour circuit.
