So technically not FF then...
The engine is in front and the front wheel use said engine for power. Does that not define and FF? It is technically an FF as the engine is in frone and it does power the front wheels. It is front engined and has front wheel drive.

By that logic, so is a Hummer...

Yes, yes it is. 👍 now your getting it. And the hummer H1 has a Hatchback option as well.

Give's whole new meaning to time attack.

Kid tries to pass "not on my watch punk" *machine gun fire* "How do you like your new Italian race tires? Daygowap wap wap wap when flat"

Yeah. But the rear wheels are powered too. So it ISN'T FF since FF means ONLY the front wheels are powered. It's AWD since ALL wheels are powering it, INCLUDING the front wheels.

Does taping batteries to my toothbrush make it an electric toothbrush?

This is hardly the place for philosophical debate

FF denotes front wheel driven, AWD denotes all wheel driven. The lancia delta and hummer h1 are AWD cars and not FF cars

^actually the Humvee is a 4X4 meaning the front axle has the ability to be disengaged.

And FF stands for Front Engined and Front Driven the Lancia In question is Front engined with driven front wheels. It is built on a FF platform meaning the car is in essence a FF with and AWD drivetrain.

Straw-man argument, but I'll take the bait

So by your logic, an Audi R8 is MR. because the engine is located amidships and some of the power goes to the Rear wheels. Nevermind that its officially an Audi quattro AWD car, if the engine is in the middle and the rear wheels get some power, it is MR no but's about it???

Why stop there? here are more great examples:

Heres an $80,000 nissan GTR which is FF

Heres a Porsche 911, rear engine front wheel drive! RF?? sure is!

HKS r33 drag car. 1200 horse power, FF.. wonder how the power goes to the ground in that?

I digress

No, you are not a revolutionary. You are clinging onto a technicality, like the poor guy who doesn't want to admit his SRT-4 is a Neon, or the guy who says his Honda S2000 is mid-engine because it sits behind the front suspension and he won't hear otherwise

I think we all know who is right, and who is wrong

Technically, the S2000 is front midship, along with most of the later generation Skylines, Fairlady's and quite a few others. :-)

Your examples made me laugh though. Lol. :-)

To the OP, I would recommend the Scirroco R like a few of the guys have. It's beautiful to drive stock just about anywhere.

Lmao, Your all riled up over a technicality. Straw Logic? maybe. But, look up the Lancia Delta it IS built on an FF platform and it IS a Hot Hatch that is great fun on anytrack.
