This is a precursor to a poll, being "who is the most serious/insightfull member of 2004". Since the funniest member of 2K4 came out, I figured "why not have a..." you get the idea. This is created to see who offered the best words of wisdom, or helped to controll a thread that went astray etc., and/or who was the most serious throughout the year. Anyone with over 3 nominations will be included in a final poll. Let the nominating begin!

I nominate M5Power, like it or not.

Note: Funniest members can still be nominated too.

Hmm...I don't know. Famine's too funny most of the times. But he can get serious as well.

Crap...Now that there's too many "...Members of 2K4" I probably can't do my idea for one. :guilty:

I vote toyomatt84.

I got three members that I think, should be nominated, those of which are: Famine, M5Power and Neon_Duke.

I vote emad! He is the one who suggested the iRiver. he knows a thing or two about electronics.

neon_duke. He's the World's Toughest Modman! Of course he's authoritative! And he can be insightful.

In a close second comes GilesGuthrie.

Jimmy Enslashay
neon_duke. He's the World's Toughest Modman! Of course he's authoritative! And he can be insightful.

In a close second comes Giles-Guthrie.

It's GilesGuthrie. No _ or - or space. Honestly, are you people all stupid? :p

Most serious would be toyomatt84, Insightful would be M5Power, and authoritative would be Neon_Duke.

3rd definition of Authoritative: Wielding authority; commanding.

Authoritarian, eh? ;)

Just because you get to tell us off doesn't mean we all should prostrate ourselves at your feet. :odd:

:p

Famine and M5. Famine somehow manages to mix humour into most of his insightful posts... and M5 for his knowledge of cars

I'll nominate M5Power for most authoritative member. He's quite opinionated when someone disagrees with him...

We're talking aout the most serious member, and you voted for Doug?

Anderton takes things pretty seriously, so I'll vote for him.

I believe M5Power's day has come and gone here on GTP...he's publicly proclaimed he's not coming back to the Forums.

He sure knew a lot about almost everything, but the reason I can't endorse your nomination of him is because he delivered it in a pompous, arrogant, offensive and ass-like way. Famine's just as smart as M5Power (and in areas that actually matter, not about how crappy Car & Driver and Consumer Reports are) and yet Famine doesn't come across as a complete prick.

For the record, I nominate milefile.

Anderton Prime

What are you talking about? You should give some examples.

I'm not quite sure what the poll is asking; most serious or most insightful or most authoritative? Authoritative? Der Alta or Duke. Insightful? milefile or Mspec. Mspec and Der Alta haven't posted too much lately, I'll say Duke and milefile.

Have you not notice but it's always M5Power/ Famine/ Moderators that always seem to win these awards?!

You guys should have an award for the member with the weirdest last name. I would win.
Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia. :)

What about Enslashay? That's a one-of-a-kind name. :p

Actually, it's the most Insightful and Authoritative. Not the most serious.
