Im using the DFGT wheel and i want the setting thats most realistic to actual racing

I for some reason have 7 / 10 in my head but at the same time that doesn't seem right.

what is it?

Its different for different cars and unless you have actually driven one of those particular cars in real life, its hard to tell. I myself have driven a NASCAR car before (Richard Petty Driving Experience) and as far as those cars go, I would say a setting of 8 pretty closely resembles a NASCAR car.

I use 10 and even that isn't as strong as my real race car. Smacking a curb should very near rip the steering wheel out of your hand, just as it does in real life. FFB at 10 gets you close to this.

I also got the DFGT , 5 days ago , how do I change that Force Feedback thing ? It's the controller sensivity ?

Go into the options menu on your home screen and set up your wheel there

ok thanks! maybe that's why my wheel is very stiff and wants to drive by it self , maybe it has that set to 1 lol.

indeed this. But with the DFGT i do believe the setting for amatur, professional, and simulation do not make a difference as it appears the wheel is not compatable for those options. (Correct if wrong)

If yo think the force feedback is too much btw dont worry about it too much, you get used to it pretty fast, i keep turning it up because i keep forgetting its there. XD

Got mine back in september.. still having troubles drifting though. :(

You need to go to OPTIONS, and look for the controllers settings. You can set the control in simulation and then you change the level of the FFB.

I have it on amateur , power assisted steering off and feedback strengh on 5.
Does the power assisted steering helps? what is that also and what is the steering type ?

power assisted steering does indeed help. i use Force feedback on 9 now with power steering. although ive thought about turning off power steering for the real life racing factor because i dont think thigns like lemans cars have power steering....or do they?

The power steering changes how easy it is the transaction from say a left turn to right turn. With it on you wont really notice the wheel do much but with it off you will feel the steering transaction more.

The setting for amateur, professional and simulation i dont think affect the DFGT wheel though. As when your over the option the DFGT wheel does not highlight, so i think this setting does not work

Again, as I have said in other threads, the settings for Simulation, Professional, and Amateur only work for the wheels highlighted when that option is selected. It even says that in the scrolling text below the menu. Don't know why people can't understand this. I'm only talking to the ones that say otherwise.

^ lolz. I actually noticed this the very first time i plugged in my dfgt. i think people just miss it because theere looking at the setting and not the little pictures of the wheels. :)
