 what the hell?

On an unrelated matter, I agree entirely with wana b drifter's signature. They certainly handle and accelerate like they are... :D

We don't hear much about GT3's Mustang Cobra, but I've got to say it eclipses the Z28 and TT for value for money - and the noise is just fine... :D

kias rock???

anyways i was bored and tired of studying for my summer school classes midterm so i was using this web site as an excuse but there was nothing i reapeat nothing to do last night...

oh yeah i think the speedster is an underrated car... no one ever talks about it... but for a car that maxes at 300 hp it can kick ass even in some pros... i repeat only some pros

I agree entirely - the VX220/Opel Speedster rules, and, even in real life, is over-looked a lot. It's telling that the new VX220 Turbo doesn't actually say "Vauxhall" on it anywhere - a quicker, better, cheaper Elise, built by the same people is ignored because of the badge...

wana b drifter's sig says "Kia's rock" - Kia IS Rock... :D

well stock the speedster does not have much under the hood... but its still better than the majority of cars that individuals think are great... too bad its another car that will never visit the us because renault opel/vaxhaul and every other euro car with the exception of merc bmw ferr lambo and porsche all have bad names in usa... hey at least masserati is coming back... oh well... i wish merc wasnt here adn we got the other car comps in its place hehehe

Could have sworn Vauxhall/Opel was General Motors... :D

The VX220 doesn't need lots of power - it only weighs 750kg. And of course it's built by Lotus, alongside their Elise on the same production line - yet manages to be better in every department...

it is gm... but gm wont risk bringin those euro comps back to us... so sad... yeah i know it doesnt need lots of power... but breaking 200 would be nice...:)...

you gotta remember famine...
elise is bottom grade lotus
speedster is best grade opel/vax at least i think so... i know they have some concepts but i dont think they make anything sportier... could be wrong... the elise is also an older car by like a year or two...

gm owns most of the euro comps or at least part of them... but they brought them here in the 70's i believe and they earned a bad name... so sad people dont forget and forgive lol

I personally would never ever buy, or consider buying, a Vauxhall. Ever. I can appreciate the VX220 and Turbo for just how good they really are (even the Astra Turbo and Zafira Turbo), but they're Vauxhalls, which in the end is their only weak point.

lol that is like me an dodge... my family has had a few dodge lemons... none that were ford... and none that were gm... and none that were japanese...

but we never owned an 80's or really early 90s ford ro gm... so... maybe it was just the time period that showed us dodges weakness...

Uh, sorry to interrupt here, but bengee, you know that you shouldn't be double posting, sorry to nitpick, but you've done it about 3 times in this thread already, just thought I'd give you a bit of advice...:p

Famine, it'd be good if Holden released the VX220/Speedster down here under the Holden badge, but I don't think they will...because their built up image over here is mostly of having their V8s...:|

sorry... i know i was just getting lazy... thought of something to add and didnt press edit as this little quick response thing is so handy... forgive me k... i will watch it...

 I'm not mad at you or anything...

lol i know but i was embarrased lol... shouldnt be doing such lazy things... anyways back on subject...

underrated cars...

speedster is definitely one of them??? whats your opinion...

and for an interesting twist what about he rally cars... youthink any of them underrated when comped to the master of rally... or at least the common ones... the subbie and the evo???

personally i think the escort rally car is GREAT... sometimes i get insulted for this tho... one person comped the 4wd escort rally to his escort gt

I think the Toyota MR2 Autobacs race car is another excellent example of an underated car in GT3. Nobody ever speaks of it and I love to race it once in a while.:D

Agreed. Some of their cars aren't bad but they're Vauxhalls so I would never buy one.........ever.

To dredge this back up.

I recently had the pleasure of being asked to give some settings for the Esprit V8 SE. And despite what most people say that it sucks, while short on braking power, it is quite fast, has a crazy amount of grip, and has near perfectly neutral steering.

In terms of pure feel and handling, i dont know if ive driven a better car, it easily out handles an NSX, maybe even the motorsport elise. It just feels right, and when using a d-pad and x button it needs 0 tcs or ASM ever. (even when pumped to 429 HP[ie all engine mods minus turbo mods])

Sounds v. interesting. I'll be sure to try that one later, there's something about that 80's styling that I like too (don't ask me why though)
