i have to say the lotus 350 esprit is the most underated car in the game. when i bought it i thought it would be an average car. mine went 271 mph(holy crap), with a 9.4 1/4 mile time. GO LOTUS:D
 
i would say that the most underated was the fiat coupe. its awesome for a ff car. and as ving has preached to us all (numerable times) :D it is easily the best ff car apart freom the citroen:)
 
For me it's the Zonda, hated it at first but now i like it very much for it's superb handling - when you know it's temper it has a lot to give..

No i'm sorry..in the game the zonda sucks....it handles like a paddle boat....I'd say the most under rated car in GT3 is the 400R....people usually stick with the R34 Vspec II, simply because they've heard of it....
 
usually people are so far along by the time they get the 400R they think it's a POS just cause their cars are all tuned and crap..But oh well..that's just my opinion
 
The Vauxhall VX220/ Opel Speedster....at 140 hp most people will most likely ignore it, but if yoú give it a chance you will notice it can beat cars with much more HP, much in the similar manner as the Lotus Elise..

I wouldn’t take the F1 cup with it but she can run with much more strong / expensive cars.

I agree that the Lotus 350 is underrated. It is a great middle-rear car. Mine has over 1000 hp and handles well when tuned well.
 
The GT40 Race Car is quite underrated in my opinion...it did such a great lap at Complex String when I tested it...:D
 
yeah, the lil gt-40's whoop ass.

they can compete with cars with hundreds more hp, adn do almost as good in the straights, and destroy them in the twisties.

i got my GT-40 racecar to do a 9.5 in the 1/4 mile, with only 700 hp. im not sure any other car in the game iwth 700 hp can do a 9.5

Gran Turismo 7058, The Zonda Truly Sucks in the game Hopefully Polyphony Digital can fix that for the Gran Turismo 4. I mean no Offence To Your Love of Zonda's :p
 
The Audi TT DOES suck. But you can make it handle fairly well. My hybrid one is even better :D And the Abt-TT in GTConcept is superb.
 
The most underrated? (takes a look at his supercar garage) That must be the Lotus Elise 190. It handles very well when highly tuned.
 
Actually the Zonda model in the game is quite accurate. It does handle like that. I think it's kind of weird to call the Zonda bad car. It's furiously quick and handles quite well, unless you have the driving assistants on. The fact that you can't use the zonda to it's fullest potential means you're just bad drivers.... and you use TCS and ASM. The people here showed how underrated the Zonda is... actually it's one of the fastest cars in the game(not just the 1/4mile times and such).
About the topic. I'd say the Opel Speedster and the lotus' are really fast. The speedster is really quick and has suberb cornering if you let the rear slip just slightly.

i totally agree. It doesnt have that much horsepower, but by doing a little upgrading, it can become quite a fun car. Its also really good for ppl who like to drift. Easy to set it up.
 
I have to say that I agree with Quattro that the Audi TT is often underestimated. If you fully tune the TT it still sucks. But the secret it changing the Variable Center Whatever to 10%. This makes the front wheels do 10% of the driving and the rear wheels 90%. So the car is still 4WD but it handles like a RWD car without the understeer and it accelerates much better.

Additionally I think many people underestimate the Mercedes-Benz CL-600. If you tune it right it is pretty fast. Also for being one of the longest cars in the game is it surprisingly nimble and easy to drive.

The zonda is modeled exterior wise EXACTLY like the rear car....capability wise?..No...I mean come on...with magical "High compression pistons, high lift cams, and major valve overlap" oh yeah you get 800HP out of a stock C12S..Realistic indeed. And it doesn't see 1/2 of that HP Till 3/4 through the power band...which is fake...Second I know I havn't driven a Pagani Zonda C12S and I know YOU havn't driven a Pagani Zonda C12S...Excuse me for my RATIONAL assumption..but I have seen plenty of video's feauturing them...And I tell you one think..They don't have as much body roll as they did in GT3....They don't sound anything like they did in Gt3....they don't lose traction like they did in GT3....and their cornering speed and turning radius was alot faster and alot smaller than it was in GT3.....I realize it's a game and they did their best and all....But you can't say "the model is quite accurate"...and Fastest car in the game?...HELLLLL NO
