I was curious as to which vehicle could be used for the most races in beginner league... Im trying to beat them all real quick in the most efficient way possible.

Your best bets:

Acura Integra Type-R: Stars and Stripes, Type-R Meeting, and FF
Miata MX-5 (1989): 80's Sports Car, Spider & Roadster, and FR

Either vehicle can go both turbo (Race of Turbo Sports) and NA (Race of NA Sports) provided you buy the parts from the shop.

Honorable mentions:
SLK 230: Spider & Roadster, Silver Arrow, and FR but does not have an NA upgrade available.

i partially quote from nelly-- "get to stompin' in those F1's." :D

whether or not u need turbo or N/A, there is an F1 for it. there are only a few cups(probably about 1/2) that don't permit f1's. and those are things that require specific co., spider/roadster...etc. but of course f1's are overkill ;)

edit>> and you did say "real quick" and "most efficient"

Maybe getting all golds on the licenses and getting the Viper Concept could be the easiest cost free way of winning the Beginner league (well, most of it).

yep!!! f1!!!!! fast and easy winning!!! :D

I believe the RUF 3400s is a good candidate. Boxer series, MR, Roadster, Turbo and I think NA. The other choice would be a Lancer as it's 4wd, turbo, and can enter the Evo Series.

This isn’t the quickest way, but certainly efferent. Win gold in all the licenses. The car's you win there will allow you to compete in the majority of the races in the game and WIN (my fav is the Imprezza prototype...put a turbo on that and some nice racing tires and your good to go). The more races/series’ you win, the more cars you acquire and then the more races you can enter. I found I was able to complete all the rally races with out any problems (and win the scud :) ), and I tend to go back and forth between beginner, armature and professional as i win more / different cars.
Aaron.

also try beating the time trials, you'll get an esperante (aka pig IMO) but could be a good way of beating of the opposition

As AO mentioned, the single car eligible for the largest number of restricted and open races is the Ruf 3400S, the Boxster-based one. It can run and compete in any street-car races, the Boxer series, the MR series, the Roadster series, I forget but I think it's NA so it will handle that, then do Turbo with the turbo upgrade... plus it's all around a good car.

Don't buy a car that you could easily win. Buy a car that will allow you to win a bunch of useful cars that are eligible for events that the car you bought isn't eligble for.

For instance, since you could use any car to win a MX-5 in the Clubman cup there is no reason to buy one, better to win it with something else.

Here are the beginner races and the cars you win:

Sunday Cup - Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex
Clubman Cup - Mazda (MX-5) Eunos Roadster
FF Challenge - Toyota Vitz RS 1.5
FR Challenge - Nissan Silvia K's S13 1800cc
MR Challenge - Toyota MR-S S Edition
4WD Challenge - Alto Works Suzuki Sports Limited
Lightweight K Cup - Mini Cooper 1.3i
Stars and Stripes Grand Championship - Chevrolet Camaro SS
Spider/Roadster Cup - Mazda Roadster RS
80's Sports Car Cup - Mazda Savanna RX7 Infini III
NA Race of NA Sports- Honda CRX Del Sol SiR
Turbo Race of Turbo Sports - Daihatsu Mira TR-XX Avanzato R
Tourist Trophy Audi TT Race- Audi TT 1.8T Quatro
Legend of Silver Arrow - Mercedes SLK 230 Kompressor
Altezza Race - Toyota Celica SS-II
Vitz Race - Toyota Vitz RS 1.5
Type R Meeting - Honda Civic SiR-II, Honda Civic Type R
Evolution Meeting - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR
Beetle Cup - Volkswagen New Beetle RSi
Grand Turismo World Championship - Toyota Celica GT-Four,
- Mazda Eunos Roadster,
- Mistubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR,
- Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II

I recommend a Lancer, specifically: LANCER Evolution VI RS. Cheap, powerful, adjustable rear wing, easy to drive and can fit rally tires.

(Buy) Lancer
(Win)
Sunday : Sprinter Trueno -> 80's cup
Clubman : MX-5 -> Roadster, FR, NA
4WD : Suzuki Alto -> LightWeight
Turbo : TR-XX -> Sell
Evolution : Lancer -> Sell
Grand Turismo World Championship : GT-R -> Use later

Then buy an Integra, specifically: INTEGRA Type R 98 spec.

(Buy) Integra Type-R
(Use to Win)
Type-R racing : Civic -> Sell
FF series : Vitz -> Vitz

But neither of these cars, although cheap, can be purchased with your initial credits so they would be my second and third car choices. My first car would be something eligible for races that the Lancer/Integra combo doesn't already cover. So either the "PT Cruiser" or the VW because the PT can enter the US championships and the VW can enter the Beetle racing.

This leaves the following Beginner Races, subtract one depending on which way you go in the PT/VW choice:

MR Challenge
Stars and Stripes Grand Championship
Tourist Trophy Audi TT Race
Legend of Silver Arrow
Altezza Race
Beetle Cup

So with only 3 cars purchased you can enter 15 of the 20 races.

Win everything you can and leave the five remaining races for now.

The last two races of the rally level are on wet street circuits and any car is eligible. Use whatever money you have to mod your best car to the level it will take to win the SS Route 5 Wet II series.

SS Route 5 Wet II - Subaru Impreza Rally Car Prototype

The Impreza comes with rally tires fitted and is eligible for ALL the other rally races. Win them all, finish the entire rally level and win the Escudo.

You will have tons of money and a garage full of race-prepared rally cars, each of which can be sold for more than 75,000cr. The Escudo sells for 250,000cr but you can't get another one so best not to sell it.

Efficiency will cease to be a serious concern.

Well planned out and clearly written, sir. Nice job! And welcome to GTPlanet, if I haven't said that already.

Too much time planning and not enough driving. Sometimes I think I enjoy the stats as much as the games. Sick, I know.

Thanks for the welcome, it is the only one I have received.

I put together information found in various faqs on http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/27212.html to answer the question.

Also I am speaking from experience and have only just completed the rally series and started in on the Amateur series myself. Of course the path I took wasn't as efficient as what I outlined in my post. I have a bad habit of buying extra cars to drive around because I think they'll look cool on replay, or they'll be fun to drive or just because I want them.

I bought my PSII only 3 weeks ago.

Actually, I remember on the ign forums about 2 years ago, we determined that you only need to buy two cars in GT3 to make 100%. All other cars you can get through winning races.

You're doing a great job so far, AoZhouRen; I'm impressed you've only been playing for 3 weeks. And don't worry about liking the stats and things. It's a big, wide game, and there's lots of room to find your own fun in it.

kideng, you are correct. You need to buy a Mercedes of some sort, and a TVR Tuscan. Everything else is winnable. However, I got bored with that system quickly after running the Camaro racecar in the Beginner Stars & Stripes, and the Clio racecar in the Beginner MR - they were the only eligible cars I had at the time.

So, like AoZ, I started to buy and drive whatever interested me. In fact, in the Arcade races, I don't think I ever used the same car twice, and I tried not to use any cars I owned.
