I did a search, but didn't see any results for this topic.

The question is:

What are your most wanted cars, to return, that were in previous GT games?

For me, I definitely miss the Lotus Elise GT1.
I loved it in GT2.
I missed it in GT3.
I missed it in GT4.
I am still missing it in GT5.

What about other people?

The Auto Union Streamliner (and some contemporaries to go with it).
The Daimler Motor Carriages (just because).

Not sure there's anything else I'm really missing!

Favorites from GT2
Lotus Elise GT1
Vector M12, M12 LM
STP Taisen Viper GTS-R, Mobil One Team Oreca
Saleen SR Widebody
Ford GT90 Concept
Lister Storm V12 Road Car
Jaguar XJR15 Road Car
Ford Mustang Cobra 99
Venturi Atlantique 600 LM, 400 GT, 300 Bi-Turbo
Renault Espace F1 (remember this ridiculous thing? 799 hp minivan)
Suzuki Cultus Pikes Peak

The Cyborg from GT1 and the Elan S2 I think it was a '90

EDIT: It's the Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg R '92 (GT1) My first ever car in Gran Tursmo, driven on May 8, 1998.
The other is the Lotus Elan S2 '90. Love that car. (GT2)

Did you read my mind? I just went into this thread to mention the Streamliner! 👍
Cool, I thought I was the only one! lol

Maybe if enough people like this car, we'll see it again when they add more content. It always bummed me out that I couldn't race it against anything in GT4...

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks that these cars are a huge plus in these games. I love the Kubelwagen for example, it really annoys me to hear people saying they shouldn't be in the game just because they don't do stupid speeds.

N15 Nissan Pulsar VZR N1. Had it on GT1 than never again. Loved that car and even have one myself in real life. 1.6L 200bhp N/A

My brother was a huge fan of the Pulsar in GT1, that just brought back some good memories.

An updated port of all the race modifiable cars from GT1 and GT2. At this point I don't care if they are Standard, it's just the 17 race modifiable cars that we have now in GT5 just isn't enough...

I totally agree -- speed isn't the be-all, end-all. Otherwise, the only car that would count would be the fastest one in the garage.

Some of the older cars are just spectacular, and GT5 does a nice job giving us a chance to appreciate them as cars, not just as museum pieces.

I like Forza, but this is one element that GT5 offers that Forza doesn't even touch. GT5 is like an interactive encyclopedia of automotive history. 👍

The F1 cars from GT4

FGT?? 💡 I happen to own one in GT5 guess im the only one worldwide (did some hacking stuff lol) I could trade you the Formula Gran Turismo wich is the amazing F1 from GT4 but it will cost ya.. lets say half your garage.. :)

I would like the Toyota Gt One Road car , Toyota Gt One TS020 99 Special (the black one), lots of race modifiable cars like in GT2, all of the RUFs from the past games, and the Daimler Motor Carriages, the actual lotus Exige from the other games (eventhough there is a Elise like the Exige in GT5), and some others I cannot remember since there are so many cars.

the Elise GT1 is a fantastic car- great call.

My personal fav? Tom's TO20 MR2.

I miss her!! :guilty:

All the slow, old and obscure cars are part of what makes GT. The vast majority of my GT4 garage was old cars, most of them pretty much stock which I would always mess around with the race day mode thing.

In GT2 my real car is present in the same trim and engine option (Ford Focus mk1 2l Ghia). Although I didn't pay attention to it then, playing GT2 recently made me buy it straight up.

I agree with the Auto Union Streamliner, that car was so damn fast for its day and even by today's standards, was a pity you couldn't race it at all. I can't think of anything else.

I do remember the EU version of GT4 didn't include the Mini Cooper, which was in GT3. That was a sad day when I found out.

From GT2:
The Espace F1

From GT3
The 2 F1 cars, one based on the old Williams from 91 and the other based on the McLaren MP4/4.

From GT4
Auto Union
Nike One 2022
Ford Model T (dunno why)

Which is of course one of Kaz ultimate goals ;)

Totally agree, and was just the same. My SambaBus sees far more time in the tuning settings for me than any other car.

The F1 minivan from Renault. Would make an interesting tuning project.
OMG YES THE F1 ESPACE! I loved that thing in GT2! :)

GT3: The old F1 cars they were awesome to drive as well :)

Nike One 2022

The Nike One was a sick car, almost like cheating. The only other thing I can think of is that I wish they made the Esprit 350 Sport a premium car. That was always my go-to in previous games, though they do have a standard Esprit which is just as good with mods.
