Motorbikes, motorcycles

Yea if there not going to give us another TT at least add TT into GT. It would be nice to put my ps2 to rest. I want to race bikes against cars and/or other bikes. The Moto world is increasing with Fuel prices climbing more people are getting on two wheels because it's cheaper to ride a motorcycle than drive a car.

cmon guys we want bikes and cars click like :)

id happily pay a couple of € for some bike dlc..and then have a nitrous turbo r1 round the ring in less than 5mins lol

No - even though I'm a biker I don't want bikes in the game.

I want them to accurately do the TT course and make it available for cars in GT7 - I also want them to make a new Tourist Trophy game for the PS4 with stunning next generation graphics, but I don't want it mixed up with the cars.

Then you'll never get anything. TT bombed - the only way to get some two-wheeled love will be if PD see fit to include some bikes in a GT instalment. Motorcycle racing is too niche for them to go down that path again.

I'm firmly of the view that bikes can live within the GT series as long as they have their own racing category (like karts). It would make an excellent DLC as much of the work has been done - having the current four Japanese litre bikes would kick things off nicely and be in keeping with PD's domestic focus.

The Crew, Project Cars, World of Speed, Astto Corsa, Forza Horizon 2, DriveClub... all of these will most likely be great games with great graphics, multiplayer, gameplay. Not one of them has motorcycles.

Currently there is only one motorcycle game, MotoGP, and gameplay-wise that has three motorcycles, a 250cc bike, a 600cc bike and a 1000cc bike in many colour/sticker combinations and with different riders. This is not what all riders want, this is what fans of Rossi want.

There is no motorcycle riding game. We want that, tons of people want that. The first game that includes bikes will steal a whole audience. I know that I'd buy a PS4 for such a game. Or XBOX One. Or a new PC video card. Whoever actually makes one will build a biker following AND steal any car fan who likes bikes away from the competition. Please PD, let it be you with GT7!

The mountain course would be nice to be included in GT7.

I would prefer the motorcycles in a new game with the TT Mountain Course.

If they managed to add some bikes with g o o d physics in GT7 I would be OK with that, but I don't want a half @#s simulation with bikes in GT7. I don't know how big difference it is to simulate bikes and cars, but I would guess it is quite big.

I'm not sure how I would control a bike in a game - I played the World Superbike game and thought it was awful as was MotoGP - possibly because in real life I don't ride a bike using a DS3. For GT6 I have a wheel so if a new TT game came out, to get any kind of immersion and enjoyment I would need some kind of handlebar based controller.

I have Tourist Trophy in my house and played several times. I completed it 100% once using an Controller. If GT7 will feature motorcycles, it will be fun playing with motorcycles. Imagine if an car races with an motorcycle: It will be 2 times better! :D

I've played TT on the PS2, and loved it. Every one of the 135 motorbikes had a fully detailed interior with functional gauges! It was the first GT-Based title (unofficially, as it was a spin-off game based off GT4) to feature all premiums, and that was on the PS2! Physics were also quite impressive for a game designed by developers who normally made games with only cars. Bikes lean, fall, wheelie, and endo (front wheelies while braking) just as you would expect when riding a motorcycle. It had a few minor flaws, but in all it was as solid motorcycle racing game.

According to Wikipedia, likely around the time when GT6 was still in progress, Kaz did say during an interview that he would like to make a sequel to Tourist Trophy, but with the constant updates for GT titles, a sequel to Tourist Trophy would be very time-consuming. Though even with this issue, PD is still considering creating a sequel to TT. Source link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourist_Trophy_(video_game)

On the lighter side, proof of the progress with HD-quality bikes on the PS3 were seen in GTHD (Image example on Minna92's post), as 3 of the bikes from TT (Honda's CBR1000 RR, Yamaha's YZF-R1 RM, and Suzuki's Skywave 250SS) were in the preview game made before GT5P. From the bikes seen in GTHD, it's likely that PD is slowly working on bits of TT2 but it's only between releases and/or on their free time.

I am guessing it'll likely become a PS4 title released between GT7 and GT8. I just hope it happens, and if the TT2 project ends up becoming cancelled midway through the build, they should at least mix a good portion of the bikes seen in TT into the GT games as part of a special "Tourist Trophy" DLC pack that includes the Isle of Mann TT course (if track isn't in GT7 upon release).

It's not exactly impossible. Tourist Trophy used the same engine as GT4 did, so the physics can't have been much different. The only possible issue with having cars and bikes in the same place is that people will continuously replicate fatal accidents of bikes colliding into cars at speed. I highly doubt Kaz would want this to happen. Although, I wouldn't mind if we had cars and bikes separate to each other, but they were still in the same game. A bit like how Karts are separate to the cars in GT5 and 6.

I want to see bikes and cars together in one game, Even if we can only use them together online in free play environments thats fine with me. Drag rooms with cars vs bikes would be a common mix. They could do a whole series of Moto GP races new License tests and it would give the game a greater overall appeal. I'm one of many on here who dabbles in more than one form of racing game. Mostly AC,Forza,GT and RBR but i have Driveclub the crew and project cars all pre-ordered just to give me something more to play as the Grind that is GT can get old. I ride motorcycles as much as i can during my short summers and love them more so than cars. If GT could build a good Drag Racing program i would live on this game. (they could team up with Nitto because the Nitto Legends and 1320 have had a huge grip on me since i was a teen. There basic set-up has been amazing add in some GT love and it could be untouchable for drag fans. I'd rather see TT inside GT than be it's own game. It's not something people have to use like the REDBULL Crap that i never use so i see no reason to leave it out.

Not to sound mean, but Gran Turismo is a driving simulator, not a riding simulator.;)

Of course... unitl you add a bike and then it would be a driving and riding simulator 💡

Actually, I'd be perfectly happy with Tourist Trophy 2 instead of having bikes in GT7, the main point is to get the two-wheel passion back in Polyphony Digital :)

I think Isle of Man would be a terrific circuit and I would love to have it in GT6. I have been two times on Isle of Man watching the TT so that would make it extra fun as I know (at lest parts of) the circuit. I think it would be fun driving on it as it is very varied, both high speed and tight corners and from the bungalow and down to sea level.
I have ridden the circuit on Mad Sunday, but I think the main thing would not be bikes in GT6 but the Mountain Course.
I am not against bikes in GT6 but I would prefer that PD did best on simulation of cars and concetrated on that.
If they launched the TT again as a motorcycle game, that would also be great.

Yes. You don't have to race 'em together, but the thought of a Kawasaki Ninja scything through Karousel at night gives me shivers...I'm not particularly brave enough to buy myself a real bike, so this would be perfect.
It's not like PDI don't know their way around a bike or two...

I personally think having bikes in GT would be great, but I would never expect it to happen. In my mind it would need two handling models running at the same time, and would be really complicated and difficult to pull off effectively. Though I could be wrong because I'm not particularly tech-smart. I'm aware that Tourist Trophy ran on the same model as Gran Turismo 4, but still. Tourist Trophy's physics were always a bit wonky at low speed.

But if I'm actually really dumb, and it is completely possible to achieve good bike physics with the same model GT is currently on, then I'd be very happy. The thought of running an online track day with some friends, and being able to whip out a Kawasaki Z1000, and bash it around the track while my friends still drive the cars they want to drive, it would be an absolute blast.
