On 5th March 1977 a fatal incident that, could have been easily prevented with the modern means of comunications, killed the driver Tom Pryce and a track marshal in a incident that still today is remembered as one of the most gruesome.
Matter of fact is, motorsport is known for its fast timed decisions and possible catastrophic outcome, but what do you think it was done in this 30+ years correctly? Do you think there are steps that should be done at the cost of entertainment?
Honestly i wondered for a long time about this, there's a lot of people that these days complain about modern measures saying they ruin the essence of the sport itself, but after incidents like the one that happened to Jules Bianchi i realized that sometimes the error is just human, are we able to create structures that could prevent the human error? Please remember the forum AUP about crash videos, feel free to contribute with your thoughts.

I saw the wreck and wish I could unsee it. It was awful. I think if they could call a full course for smaller things rather than taking chances with local yellows a lot of lives would have been saved.

I would suggest something who do not sacrifice the entertainment (but, in reality, improve it) and keeps himself in line with the essence of the sport:

Less aero and more mechanical grip

The Element of Risk will always be there when cars are racing at speed but I think mostly safety standards today are very high and everything from this point really needs minor tweaks rather then major ones, and certainly not crazy reactions like what happened in the 1994 season after Senna Died.

The biggest risk factor in Motorsport today I feel is cars hitting another car side on at full or high speed, you can make a car safe but somethings may be unavoidable without taking the element out of racing.

What do you mean,an example?
