Who is this driver participating in a three-day Nascar evaluation test at Daytona in 2002.

racerkungens+nya+bil

Kenny Brack?
Correct.

I'll edit in some information and other photos in a little while.

EDIT
The test came about when Bräck moved from Rahal to Ganassi and because he had always
wanted to make the switch over to Nascar.

The three days was in January and they were held at Daytona to evaluate his chances of qualifying for the 500.

Assuming you mean F1.

Andrea De Cesaris?

Yes, sorry for that.

Chris Amon with 14

I have it down as 11 starts:

Reg Parnell Racing (1963-65)
Cooper (1966)
Ferrari (1967-69)
March (1970)
Matra (1971-72)
Tecno (1973)
Tyrrell (1973)
Amon (1974)
BRM (1974)
Ensign (1975-76)
Wolf-Williams (1976)

But Chris Amon is the right answer. He DNSed with Ian Raby Racing in 1966 and DNQed with his own team in 1966 but eventually did race under Chris Amon Racing in 1974.

Open question: Is the 1999 European Grand Prix the only time that the constructor's podium was made up of ex-Formula One drivers' teams?

Herbert, Trulli, Barrichello; Stewart, Prost, Stewart

I imgine that there must have been a Brabham-McLaren combination at some point but I don't know.

I give up Canada, 1982:

Piquet, Patrese, Watson; Brabham, Brabham, McLaren

edit: ...and I add Canada, 1984:

Piquet, Lauda, Prost; Brabham, McLaren, McLaren

Very good. Just to stretch it further Europe 1999 is the only one exclusively with World Champions' teams then. ;)

Surtees ran a team, as did Graham Hill, poorly (is Embassy Hill a car?). Gurney ran a winning team, but the crown never fell his way. Not too many world champions also ran winning teams.

is Embassy Hill a car?

Hill's team took the name of the sponsor (Embassy Tobacco) and his own name. The car was initially a Shadow (I think) and other bits were bought in and redesignated GHx, iirc.

EDIT: They eventually bought a Lola in and that was designated GH1

I'm going to take a wild guess and say his car landed upside-down.

DK
I'm going to take a wild guess and say his car landed upside-down.

That is what killed him when his car skidded off in the rain but there was a legacy from that crash.

I seem to recall that he was a morphine addict... but then there's @DK's information which I hadn't known...

Scattershot answer; either drugs were formally banned for drivers or crash helmets became mandatory.

crash helmets became mandatory.

Is the right answer! Prior to this, crash helmets were optional but Varzi's flip and his head caving in saw them become compulsory at last. At this point, though, they were still made of leather and hardly protecting the head too much but it was a start.

The material became more solid and protective over time but you'd have to wait until the 1967 German Grand Prix when Dan Gurney became the first Grand Prix driver to wear a full-face helmet.

Yay :)

@DK can take a shot if he likes?

Returning to the theme of helmets, who was the last to NOT wear a full-face helmet in F1?
