Just got 3rd in the Daytona Road Course with my 430. Sad to say I cheated, but I was frustrated. I do want to learn to do it right. Will keep working on it.
This is an awesome feeling though. I love GT5. The game rocks no doubt.

That's a difficult one. Of course the S class has some toughies too.
I started re-doing the game yesterday. I'm about half way through the S class now.

I had finished C,B,A classes before some months and when I got in the A I left the game completely because I couldn't even pass 3 of the other cars! I started the game before 3 days I did some serious practice on the trials,I learned the tracks by heart (where and when to brake and accelarate and how much) and proper setting and tuning and finished the A class today and got the Ferrari F2007(after doing over 40-50 courses on the A class trials to earn the 2.000.000, it took me aprox 2 hours to gather 2.000.000 from the 150.000 I already had). The real deal are the S-7 and S-10. Some say the S-6 too but I do not find so hard, I finished it with the first try. F40 has great accelaration and good handling.

Tuning plays big role in S-7 and S-10. In Sukuka (S-10) seek for acceleration and handling more than top speed. If you eliminate the understeer of Amuse S2000 then it's a piece of cake to reach 4-5 place. Skills needed for the first 3 places though... I'am going for the brand's challenges know...

Yeah, I'd just like to point out you could have done it in half the time with money from online races ;)

Except with online races, you aren't always guaranteed a 1st place finish, or a race for that matter since it takes forever (I've waited 5 minutes sometimes) to connect. With the Daytona Oval course (which I used), I knew exactly how long it took me and I never got less than 1st.

I am not so good for winning every online race yet :). I started having differences +15-20sec from the online records (for specific car,not general) and I have dropped it to 4-8sec and still improving. I re-started the game recently and I am not going straight to the online before knowing how to drive propertly. I don't want to be one of the jackasses with no skills that play online and destroying the races...

You don't need to win in order to amass quite a fortune.....they made the credit pay outs online rather large for this specific reason - so people could buy F2007s easily (so they could make an online event for people to use them in).

4-8 seconds off the pace isn't bad but really you shouldn't worry about it too much, playing online isn't just about speed, you need experience in reacting to race situations, not just hotlapping. So its best to get out there racing rather than sticking to time trials worrying about whether you're "good enough" or not yet. I'm sure you will find people of a similar ability to you especially on this forum, so just meet up with them and race.

Trust me, being slow isn't what people are referring to when they are referring to the idiots online - we're referring to the dirty drivers, new drivers who are still learning the ropes are obviously always welcome!

Even if you can't finish in a great position all the time, you will earn way more money than offline, allowing you to buy more cars quicker and open up the enjoyment of this game a lot more. Plus, playing online is one of the great elements of this game.

If you want to pace yourself online by racing people of a similar skill, I suggest you check some of the threads around here (stuff like "Enhance your skills" etc) and get racing! You have to start some where and some time, and the more experience you have (good or bad) the better, speed comes with experience, not just practice.

IMO the best way to earn money is the Daytona Oval Time Trial event in the S Class with the Mine's. 2 laps earns you close to 40K. Run the 2 laps, 'X' out, run it again, etc. etc.

I really had no problem with any of the S class races but S-10. But i tried it earlier today and got gold on first lap with my lovely wife G-25 <3
I appoint you to use the Ford Gt lm spec II gt version car for the 750 pp races, easy win :) You can find the setting on youtube or something.
