Has anyone other than me noticed that Windows Movie Maker 2, often jams while in the middle of something?
It has happened to me on several occasions on my Laptop, and i'm currently making one now on this desktop and it's doing it. At first i thought it was just my laptop, but now 2 pcs are doing it i'm beggining to wonder if it is a major problem.
What it does:
Jams in the middle of you doing something, copys an image of any new window placed ontop of it. It doesn't let you click anything, nor use shortcuts like ctrl+s.

What to do: If you don't wanna lose your work, wait 15 - 20mins or so for the program to do it's auto save feature. The longer you wait, the better. When you are satisfyed it has saved, go into task manager and end it.
The next time you open up movie maker, a message should appear talking about a recovered file. If it asks you if you would like to open it FOR GOD'S SAKE OPEN IT! Hopefully, you will find your document, in the same state as when the program jammed.

How do i get this program?
It installs with Windows Service Pack 2.

Has anyone else noticed this major annoyance?

No, I haven't noticed anything like that. Have you checked for an update at windowsupdate.com?

I can't really complain, it is free and it is just as good as retail products.

Oh, don't get me wrong, i love it too, but i found it odd that both my pcs are doing it.

It might be a codec issue. Mine doesn't like certain mpegs. I have to convert any mpegs to wmv before I import them into movie maker.

I don't use any mpegs, oh wait, i do, i use mp3s, so that's probably it.
