I had high hopes for The American for some reason. Haven't watched it yet, though.

Anything by Tim Burton

If he's the guy that did the 2007 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory(can't remember too well, watched it once, and chucked it out the window)....he ruined it, by making it scary as crap...Depp doesn't make a good Willy Wonka, Gene Wilder cannot be replaced.

I liked it. Pretty good movie. Slow paced but never really boring.

It didn't go over my head. It wasn't long enough, there wasn't enough depth or character development, and it tried way too hard to be 'dark' even by Arnofsky's standards. It just seems incomplete..

:confused::confused: I don't understand this at all. How can a movie that's 100% about the development of a character not have enough character development? Now I'm convinced that you didn't get it.

Actually, I preferred the Tim Burton remake.... as he invites you to suspend your disbelief and go on a journey with him in his imagination. And interestingly (in my mind anyway), the elevator was more or less related to the book's writing. Wherelse the first movie just didn't entice me at all. In fact, I remember being quite deflated about the whole film itself, in a strange way.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (the third one).

That, sir, was one of my favorite films that year (Narrowly being beaten by Transformers). I don't see too many films in theaters, but that was one of the ones I did see, and I was glad I did. I actually own the trilogy on Blu-ray because of it.

While I can't say anything about that film, I can tell you that Burton did the 1989 Batman film and its direct sequel, Batman Returns. Both excellent movies. I will grant you that his association with Johnny Depp, however has produced rubbish films and an okay film(Alice in Wonderland).

Green Lantern, on the other hand, belongs in the rubbish pile. I felt that it was too inspired by the comic books, and Amanda Walker serves no purpose in the film if they are not going to do a Justice League film, or build up to one. I should have waited for the DVD.

What's another movie i regret seeing?

Oh, I know, The Son of Chucky. I only saw five minutes of it or something like that, but that's more than enough to regret. So 🤬 stupid.

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy The Movie. It was so bad and an insult to the radio series, the books and the TV series that I almost walked out of a friends house watching it, I've never even done that at the movies.
I rate it as "Worst movie ever" (said in comicbook store guys voice) and I've seen "attack of the killer tomatoes" and "the cars that ate Paris"

It wasn't that bad. It was mildly funny at points. I tried to read the books in school. We had a school library and my friend had the first book for over a year :banghead:.

This is the same friend that got called out of class and asked to return the hobbit because he'd had it for over two years and some of the people on the waiting list had left school by that point.

Went to see a film called Kill List the other day as it had good reviews.

I have no idea what the critics were playing at lying like that 👎

It was okay, more of a Lazy Day film, if that means anything.

I liked that movie.
I mean, it's not going to win any awards any time soon, but I enjoyed it.

Now a movie I regret seeing, is Dragon Heart: A New Beginning.
Compared to the first it's so awful I'd rather pretend it didn't exist.

Blair witch was a disappointment. Especially after the hype and the fact I paid to watch it.

The Mrs felt motion sickness too in the cinema.

I would, but I'm against giving money to people who have proved they don't deserve it.

While on that, I sorely regret seeing Spy Kids 3D.

Fast 5, I wanted the time I wasted watching it back most ridiculous, loud, mindless, obnoxious, pointless mess of a movie ever made.

Just watched Event horizon last week. Wtf? It started as an awesome scifi, but it turned into a really lame Hellraiser in space. 👎

I really hope Jonny English: Reborn is going to live up to all the hype. The trailer does not look that great though. Im guessing ill regret that when it comes out. :(

I watched Green Lantern with the hope to see something like Iron Man but it was just ridiculous and had a hard time watching it till the end...

Should have watched the "Emerald Knights" cartoon. Though unfortunately, that's more of a collection of shorts than a full movie.

Still, Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan trumps Ryan Reynolds, any time.

The whole point of that movie is for it to be ridiculous, loud, mindless, and obnoxious. It's supposed to be a fun popcorn movie.

Power Rangers; secret of the ooze.

How can someone make a movie called that and expect someone with a vulgar sense of humour to keep a straight face when they see the title?
