I'm thinking of saving for an MP3 player (the one's you carry around in your pocket). But as I rip most of my songs in Ogg Vorbis format (MP3 is teh suck 👎), I'd need a player that supports it. Does anyone know of any?

i think iRiver does it on all their models
Hmmm, I just checked our their website. Their new iHP-140 has a 20gb HDD and supports Ogg, MP3, WMA, ASF and WAV. They don't have any stores in Australia though! :grumpy:

Just out of curiosity, how does "Ogg Vorbis" compare to AAC?

I don't see what the big deal is with Ogg Vorbis, I didn't think it was all that great.

i ripped an entire album at 192 cbr mp3 and also ripped it to 56k CBR ogg and the file size was quite noticeable, (70mb to about 23-24mb).
hmm. i just might get one of those iRiver ogg/mp3/wma players within the next week

edit : maybe i wont as its 500$ USD
i only have 150 or so

Who cares about filesize when you have a 20GB HD? I certainly don't.

By the time I'm able to fill a 20 gigger, I'll have upgraded to something bigger.

Yes, but it sounds as though you care about audio quality...

From what I can tell there isn't much of a difference between the highest quality ogg rip and the highest quality mp3 rip.

I have ripped all of my albums at LAME alt preset extreme.
