Well alot of pople in my school are getting them left and right. So I decied to waste my money on this...

I found a place that sells it for 220. Pretty good if you ask me.

Does anyone else have an MP3 player
 
Only in my mobile phone.
 
I have an archaic Archos Jukebox. I listen to it daily.

I was the first person I know to get one. It's close to 2 years old. I'm awesome.
 
I think they're kind of useless. The only they'd do for me is wear out all the songs i listen to at home. So i'd have to constantly get new songs...

I'm just too lazy for it.
 
You can never have enough music. It's a complete impossibility.

I like being able to carry around every single song I have ever purchased in a nice 4" x 7" x 2" box. And that's big for an MP3 player.

but yeah they really arent that cool,my freind has one he says when ever he starts to play music it like scracthes like lets say he is playing T.I. and the song is RUBBER BAND MAN and while he is it would go like"Rubber.....Then skip like 50 secs ahead"so yeah thats what sucks
dont get one,just my .02 :D
 
I bought one of the first ones that came out, the Diamond Rio. It came in handy when I didnt have a working stereo in my car (no, i never used both headphones) but now I have a CD player that plays MP3s in my car, and dont require that kind of portability.

I am pondering adding a 18gig Kenwood Keg to my my car stereo this summer.

thats the one that i have, except mine is the 128 version and its not that bad..just make sure you get the extended warranty because my friends who have them said that theirs broke so i said to be safe i got it...

i just wish i woulda waited because apparently the mini ipod is out for like 200 and i ended up sneding 250 on mine when i was done with the warranty

HAHA! Its amazing you have one, I thought I was the only person on the planet left who still has an old Rio. I bought mine off one of the ads on a gaming community called MPLAYER where I used to play AvsP and Quake 2. I use my Rio now in my car where I dont (nor will ever) have a system.
 
I haven't seen the iPod mini here in BC yet. It's suppose to hold 1,000 songs.
 
my friend told me that best buy or futureshop had it...but it wasnt in stock or wasnt available yet but i think he pre ordered it...its like $200
 
I've got a simple RCA Lyra MP3 player that I got for under $100. With an extra expansion card it has 256 MB of memory. I really don't know what I would do without it...I've taken it on many long trips, excercise with it, and even use it to help me go to sleep at night.

what size did you get jordan? the 128 version?

thats the one that i got and im waiting till i get some money and im gunna go get a card...maybe ill find a 512 on sale somewhere and thatll boost it up to 640 which would be perfect

as for the reasons you said i use it for the exact same and i love it because its so small i can fit it in my pocket in my school where as my friends who have discmans or mds like drool over how small it is...its like have the size of a MD and a 5th the size of a discman

Well ok i thought it was a place, but then I asked my older bro again where and his words were..."my friend has HOOK-UPS"... If im correct that is one of his friends that works at Fryz. Not sure. Sorry im no help.

I bought it over 5 years ago before my son was born. I havent used it in maybe 4 years or so.

It is so old, it isnt even USB. It has an adapter for the parallel port with a bypass for the printer.

Ancient. Not to mention i think it has some insanely small amount of memory.
 
I guess here in Hong Kong is THE place for stuff like this, or maybe Taiwan, although I don't actually have an MP3 player. I use a Sony NetMD Type-R, which I love because, as stupid as it sounds, I like to spend my money on things that look as if they cost a lot to make. I love the tactile feel of the MD, changing discs and the feel of the cold metal casing. My friend uses a tiny mirror silver SAFA 256mb MP3 player, but as ingenious as it is, I just can't get excited about it. My loss, I guess!
 
If MP3 players are fads then what the hell are mobile phones? I'd love to get my own mp3 player so I can play some music to concentrate to in classes and some good music to drown out the crap on the school radio.

I have no need whatsoever for a mobile phone though.

Exactly, although mine has become a bit useless now because I just play CD's in the car. Actually I tell a lie, I used it today because my cars being serivced and I had to catch the train.

Except mines the 60gb version, I think i've used like 15gigs storing my album collection on it.
 
i have one...not a dear one...relatively cheap one. and it has become my best friend. shove it in my pocket and im out skating with it listening to great music. i can also take assignments to school woth it. it is awesome
 
I've had my 1st gen iPod 5GB since Xmas of 2002 and have loved it. Great simple little machine with 600+ songs on it right now. I've never had problems with it and it's easy to carry.
 
I use the MP3 player in my Sony Ericsson P800 phone, it has 16mb of internal storage but also uses the Sony Memory Stick Duo cards so i currently have 128mb running in there at the moment.

EDIT: I just broke the charger for it so I guess I'm screwed :irked:
 
i got one for my b-day (yesterday) and when i load songs into it it will NOT play them. any help would be very helpful. i gots an mpio 512 mb .
 
I've been thinking of buying one when I have the money. I have so many other things to buy.

The player would be really handy. When travelling you could take it wherever you want 'cause it's so small. And you don't have to waste money on CD's, just take the music from the internet. MUST BUY ONE!!1!
