MP3s that refused to be played in GT5 Custom Soundtrack

no matter what I do, i cant put Uncle Kraker's " Keep'em Coming" song on my GT5 playlist, the song is greyed out in the selection screen. The song playes fine on my PS3, but not in GT5. Anybody have the same problem?
 
Are there any strange characters in the file title (not the SONG title) or does it begin with a space?

If the file title's okay then maybe it's a strange bitrate?
 
no bro, all in plain english. and the bit rate is standard ... really weird..
 
I have the same problem with a few of my mp3's. Though they seem to be generic files, GT refuses to play them.
 
My game keeps resetting itself to play the GT tunes... also is there a way to get your own songs to play when participating in online racing?
 
Yep... At one point, after the before last update, my GT5 soundtrack would switch to the default soundtrack. So then I'd go into music library and switch back to my own mp3 playlist. But now... I can't even choose personal user soundtrack option for Race BG music...

What did PD do with the last update?!?! :(
 
my game keeps freezing up. NO matter what custom soundtracks i play its very very annoying. i hope it gets fixed soon. I hate the jazz music in the menus
 
I stopped using custom sound tracks altogether. Im sure they were what made my PS3 File system corrupt. Mine would seem to get stuck on a certain song in the playlist and play it over and over Until GT crashed. It did this one day and them my PS3 wouldnt boot anything past the OS. No Backup and PS3needed a restore to original. I was at Lvl 23 or 24 I think when I had to start again. :(

Beware the custom sound track. Now because I hate the game track I just turn off the music altogether!

Same thing here. Is very annoying. I can't play any of my own music!

Did you have need for speed hot pursuit 2? I remember that song in the game.

Amen to that bro, Why Jazz/elevator music??? :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

I didn't even touch my custom soundtrack for this game, only for MCLA and thats it. Btw I follow the music type for the cars, after playing and watching TFATF series and NFS series especially NFS Carbon this is how the music should go like on GT5:

Tuners/affordable Euro Cars(i.e. Audi RS4, R32 Golf) and Japanese Cars: Techno/Electro music

Muscle/Classic & Modern Muscle/Aussie Cars/ Muscle Tuners and Sport Trucks: Rock and Heavy Metal

Exotic/Classic Exotics/Luxury Cars/Supercars: Rap & Hip Hop/Grime

And if u want to also mixing the music generes for the best of all worlds. :D

I don't know if PD fixed something in the meanwhile but I'm enjoying the custom music menu A LOT. Dubstep, Breakbeat and DnB all the time!
