I've always wondered if it was possible to view MPH instead of KPH in races. I've seen screenshots of it but never found the option. I've got UK version of GT3
i don't think you have a choice.. in euro/Japanese versions it's kmph by default and in US version it's mph, can't really change that :< would be a nice option in gt4 tho
thats strange cos i always thought that in the US they used KPH and in europe MPH is used, just wondered why they swapped them? Have to buy myself an X-port then, how mich are they by the way?
Drifter7 - no. The North American release comes with "miles" as the distance unit (so also mph), as the USA uses miles. Canadians simply have to suffer it.
In most of Europe they use kilometres (and km/h - which is the correct abbreviation, not "kph"), and the PAL release comes using kilometres as the distance unit. The UK, which uses miles and mph, just has to suffer - like the Canadians.
pimpin_t - Try http://www.play.com - they are the cheapest around for the Xport at £17.99, although it might not drop onto the mat very soon... I can provide you with a blank converted save so that you can put that on your memory card and run in mph.
Not sure if I'm into that stuff, i prefer realism. some of the hybrids i've seen are plain mo'fo crazy, although the thought of a Skyline engine in Trueno.......................
There's hybrids which are nuts, true, but there's also mildbrids, which are potentially viable cars (like RX-7 engines in an MX-5, f'rinstance) and realbrids, which are actual cars PD left out. Take the BMW 328 and M3 it...!
The Diablo existed in the Japanese NTSC release, and was removed from the US NTSC release. However, in the many, many months of spare time they had before they did the PAL/Euro release, they removed the car body completely from the disk. So no Diablo.
The same applies to the 996 911 GT3, Lancia Stratos and Stratos Alitalia RC.
My M3 is just a BMW 328ci with a V8 engine dropped in it - can't even remember which V8 I used You have to tweak the power multiplier to get it just right though (although your torque figure may be slightly off).
Yes, but it's the presence of the car body on the disc which swings it.
The code for the Diablo in your garage merely tells the game where it should look on the disc for the Diablo's body. Since the body isn't THERE on the PAL disc, you cannot drive a Diablo-looking car in the PAL game. You can drive the Diablo with a different body, but the body itself does not appear in the PAL version.
dont think you can, i do remember reading somwhere that the car has to be on the GT3 disc. Cant wait to start dropping some V8 lumps in some different cars,
AHHHHH................The wait!
order said it was packing so it shouldnt be long!
damn hoping it might be here for saturday.ah well its worth the wait. Cant wait to start using mph. when i get my xport could you send me the blank save so i can have mph?
