what are the major differences between drifting FR and MR. I tend to do better and have more luck with the MRs. COuld someone explain the difference between them to me

Well basically, FR Means in short, Front Engine, Rear Wheel drive - and MR means "midship" engine - Rear wheel drive

Most of the MR cars in GT3 tend to understeer a little, which makes it easier (IMHO) to control a drift, whereas many FR cars rend to oversteer.

I myself prefer understeering on my cars when drifting, but it's all down to personal preference :)

Another big difference is where the majority of the weight is located. In Fr's its up front. In MR's its in the back. So shifting the weight on A MR to the front is crucial to drift.

Also.....you can throw the weight around in the back, too. This can help out when breaking traction. But....remember that MR setup is liked for the great balance and handling. So, you still have really good balance, and the ass end doesn't seem nearly as fat as a lot of fr's. And lastly, MR's have excellent stability. So, it's easier to keep it under control and not go all over.

FR cars are more throttle sensitive, you control the drift by throttle and steering inputs. MR is perfect for weight transfer drifts and feint drifts. the FR cars stay sideways when exiting a corner but the MR tends to catch and push forward. in a nut shell, MR drifts faster than FR but FR can stay sideways longer. check out the vids in my sig to see wut i mean by MR weight transfer.

i find MR cars more reliant on throttle. you really need to slam the gas down to keep 'er sideways, but once you get it going, i find they have a very nice balance of understeer and grip...

NK4E is a post whore...

and is it just me, because i don't get that MR understeer that some of you get.

tthey feel about the same except mr's feel more stable and usually require more effort to shift weight..

also.. no matter how much horsepower i put into a mr2 it feels light as a feather. almost like there's no chance of spinning out.. compare trueno to Mr2 and u'll see the difference.

well, im makin some MR settings and i will try to put it in my next vid

Yea what you guys are say is true but the characteristics of a car FR or MR can be changed depending on the suspension set up and ect . right ???

   i have noticed     (im not post whoring :D ) theres something about mrs that make them really smooth in both grip and drift
