MSN History Problem

I am having a problem with MSN at the moment.


Whenever I close a conversation window, I get the message:

An error occured writing the message history for {contact}.

Class not registered.

I have tried googleing this and people have had the same problem. But no one has recieved any reply on what might be wrong.

If anyone else has had this problem and fixed it, please let me know.

Go into tools>options>messages and turn off the history saving option for your messages.

That would stop the error coming up. But I would prefer to save my messages. It would be better to fix the problem than sweep it under the carpet. ;)
 
I wasn't sure if you actually wanted to save the messages or not. Maybe try a reinstall?
 
its where its trying to write a foreign character IIRC. get it sometimes on my brothers user. just click ok and it still saves, just without the suspect character
 
Hmmm...... I haven't actually checked to see if it's saving anything. I'll have a look tonight. 👍
 
Well, if you don´t find the answer to your problem you could turn it off and use MSN plus' message history option. That´s what I do.
