i used to play mugen years ago, i tried to get into it again a few weeks ago, but i got bored. i deleted all of my mugen stuff, but here's a link

I'm glad there was a thread on MUGEN. I got into this game by seeing lots of YouTube videos. Let me chat about what I have for MUGEN:

* MUGEN - Hi-Res version
* Kamek's screen pack (Super Smash Bros.-style screenpack)
* about a 60-slot pack of characters
* 30+ stages
* as many Street Fighter characters as I can find (including the S.F. Alpha series)
* Bonus Games...
* ...Break the Targets!
* ...Training Sphere
* ...KFM (Kung-Fu Man) Game (beat as many as you can while collecting gems in the time limit)
* ...Break the Car!
* ...Strength Training (face endless waves of generic thugs and beat as many as possible in the time limit)
* Asuka 120% characters
* Some "rare" characters...
* ...Ultimate Rugal
* ...Death Ogre
* ...God Orochi
* Super Mario and Super Luigi

Favorite characters (usually from Watch Mode):
* Chiho Masuda (quick and powerful)
* Owada Nana (hakama-wearing girl that fights with hands, feet, and her fans)
* Guy (the badass from Final Fight fame)
* Hayato (Marvel vs. Capcom character who's had fame in Star Gladiator as the protagonist)
* S.F. Alpha 3's Balrog (hard-hitting boxing dude!)
* S.F. Alpha 3's M. Bison (long-time enemy of the series. Key strategy: beat him bad enough to prevent him from landing his huge Psycho Crusher, especially against the Boss version of him)

It's really a damn shame this game hasn't had a version more recent than 2002. It seems like I'm finding all kinds of stuff for a game that's been discontinued (in a way) since 2002. I'm interested in playing a 3-on-1 match as I sometimes put together team (as in two characters on the screen at once) battles and even some 2-on-1 handicap fights. Street Fighter types would call these "Dramatic Battles." My SideWinder game pad doesn't give me too much freedom to easily execute Supers. I'm thinking about getting a new non-analog gamepad that could be more fun to use for Supers.

Here's what I'm trying to work on:

* finding a new lifebar package
* a more competitive Ryu and Ken
* getting other tough bosses like Geese Howard
* maybe working on my own characters

Glad there's a MUGEN thread. Still having fun with this thing.

Hello. I'm new to GTP, but not to MUGEN. Dragon Claw, Evil Ken and Evil Ryu by Reuben Kee (R.I.P.) would make an excellent addition to anyone's roster of chars. His website was still up last time I was there. They are virtually unbeatable (not cheap). Other than that, try Ella (from The Ring) by Aiduzzi and Jill Valentine (this version) original by XCB and updated by Kamek. Well, good luck, I have over 230 chars myself and am always looking for more of high quality to join.
