Hey you guys, I think everyone should take into account my story. ;)

You see, I really spent a lot of time with the various game versions of the S2000.

Mugen S2000
Maxed out power and lightweight stage 2.
380hp @ 8400 rpm
1103 kg
2.902 pwr
.339 twr

Spoon S2000
Semi-tuned power, no lightweights availible for car.
380hp @ 9100 rpm
1100 kg
2.894 pwr
.360 twr

This the result of some research...

Turns out, the S2000, in all forms (beside the s2000 lm) can run at *1100kg.

With this in mind, I think the S2000s in the game may have an 1100kg race in mind.

Look at the way the mugen hits literally with in .008 of the spoon's pwr, yet has a .021 twr advantage. (btw, the spoon racecar is right on with these, but slower. :D )

Also look at the hp peak rpm range. The spoon runs higher but has less torque, the mugen runs lower and has more torque.

I think this is a challenge born to run, but I just haven't had the time to fit it into the weekly race.

For sure though, this is definately a great run... the normal s2000 can hit almost the exact same specs as the above cars too. 1103kg for a normal S2000.

The mugen is actually one of my favorites, it's just too bad the hp can't go as high as the spoon's can. (spoon can go to 444hp where as the mugen tops out at 380hp.)

Oh, I see what you mean. Its probably for the intake or something to make room for something in the engine bay.
 
Those pwr/power/weight/twr stats are accurate.

I've wanted to do a S2000 cup for some time now. Just gotta get it into the always busy weekly series.

But let me tell you, when comparing the vtype, normal, mugen, spoon, and spoon race, all of them can hit right in the range of 1100-110?kg and can achieve close to the same hp/pwr levels.

It is a very even competition. Especially since the spoon race can't keep up due to power problems.

Look into it for sure, you will have some fun running around in the mugen and spoon at those levels. I will go find the post that has the exact tuning specs for you as well. (just late tonight or tomorrow, can't do it now. )

In terms of the 6 S2000's I like from best to last:

S2000 LM Race Car (kickass car overall)

Spoon S2000 (about as powerful as the others but I like its handling and looks)

Mugen S2000 (same as above but the Spoon looks nicer:))

V Type Around the same performance, but porefer the others' handling and looks

Normal Slightly worse than the others and the ugliest

Spoon Race Car is the best looking and handling, but a wheelchair will out run it.

The bump is there for something for performance and looks.
