The Muscle Car Comparison is a comparison of all of the non-racing muscle cars in GT4. The cars in this test are tested on price, horsepower, 0-60, 1/4 mile, Lap on New York, and a Lap on Laguna Seca (great american tracks for great american cars :) ). Points are given based on performance; 7 for 1st, 6 for 2nd, and so on. The cars that were won and not bought had their resale value multiplied by 4.7 since that is about the difference between sale and resale.

All of the cars are dead stock with S2 tires, ASM @ 10 and 10, TCS @ 5, an oil change (horsepower rating is after the oil change), and only cars from the U.S. (Hence no A.C. Cobra)

In the competition there are two classes: Over 375HP and Under 375HP

Nice job! What muscle did you find most enjoyable to drive?
Personally I like both Shelbys, with the 350 on top (love that engine sound!).

The Buick Special should really be thrown out of this comparison. It isn't a stock factory car. Its a complete custom.

Personally i like the Cobra 427 more but the GT350 really surprised me how well it did.

Well its based on a car from that era and it had some power so i threw it in their just to see how itd to and it did surprisngly well, i thot it end up alot farther down the list.

I am not really a big muscle car fan... but the engine sounds on the 350 is just great. Once in a while i take it out on a spin. Kept it stock and im nothing think of point anything into it. I dont like there small gears doh. I love the Cuda which is one of my favorites and is sounds crappy and tops out at 120. Kinda sad but i keep in mind they are real heavy cars. Yet i like any of the cars in GT4

Nice work. 👍
Good info, and excellent presentation.
How'd you find the lap of New York though? A-Spec or B-Spec?

I b-spec'd both places but reset the ps2 after each car so the b-spec skill level never changed

That's a shame...

If i didnt do that theyd spin the wheels like crazy and get no launch at all. + the muscle cars are bad enough through corners already, with out asm i dont know wut would happen.

I was just about to say, 'What about the XR7??'.
Good writeup, anyway.

Just thinking, what about the Jensen Interceptor? I believe that could count as a musclecar (hey, it's got a Mopar 440).

EDIT - I guess the Jensen is British, isn't it?
