hello peeps, just seeking expressions of interest in a Muscle Car Masters series with 3 POSSIBLE CLASSES,
CLASS 1, Classic le mans cars, Jaguar xj13, Ford GT40 etc, NO 2J or 7 race cars,
power would be limited to 530-550BHP (maybe less), and weight would be the same, (possible restriction to sports hard tires),
CLASS 2, American muscle, Classic European, pre 1973 Shelby GT350, Mercedes Gullwing etc, power limited to 620bhp (maybe less if someone runs a car that cannot match), weight would be the same, (possible restriction to sports soft tires),
CLASS 3, Classic Japanese, Classic European, for the less powered cars, 2000GTR, Triumpth Spitfire, Toyota Celica etc, power limited to 300bhp (maybe more or less) weight would be the same, (tires would be restricted to racing tires, drivers choice)
(pending popularity, one of these classes maybe made redundant, i hope not)
the idea between these regulations is to keep all the cars competitive, so even having a race car is an advantage, the power and better grip from a muscle car could overtake in a straight, and at a track like Tsukuba Being in a class 3 car, if you set it up right, could mix it up with the big boys, (bonus points would be paid for punching above your weight) additional aero optional,
Also i dont want 2 of the same car, the classes would be 5 cars for class 1, 5 cars for class 2 and 6 cars for class 3, ( maybe 5 if someone wants to drive the safety car),
qualifying is 30 mins, races will start in qualifying order, however, class 3 cars would start in front of class 2 and 3, (expecting little difference between class 1 and 2, if there is a big difference then class 3 will lead the pack, then class 2 then class 1) all qualifying results remain the same, just class order changes,
2 races per weekend, 1 sprint race (lap amount will vary at each track depending on expected tire wear), depends on lap times, and 2 possible endurance races (endurance events will not have a sprint race, also wont be at a track where class 3 cars wouldnt be expected to mix it up) possible rolling start, (vote pending),
I would like to run 9-11 rounds, tracks would be,
Tsukuba, Spa Francorchamps, Indianapolis (road course), Fuji, Laguna Seca, Suzuka, Sarthe, Monza, Madrid Reverse, Autumn ring min, Motegi (oval if supported in vote by all,)
i am open to all suggestions, once all spots are filled, all decisions will be up for voting, as to keep all patrons happy, also once fields are full 2 races will be run at 2 very different tracks, not in the series, to see the parody difference between all cars, random checks will be performed at every race to ensure everything true and correct,
Feel free to ask any questions,,,,,
