Just a question, for cars like the Shelby Cobra and Ford GT, if you paint them, would they lose their stripes? Because I'm thinking of painting either my Camaro, Challenger or Mustang matt black. Just wondering, thanks.

You can test any color you want...
You paint the car and if you don't like it, you QUIT the game WHITOUT come out of the GT Auto. In the next start of the game your car will be with his original color again.

Do you mean Challenger? Or one of the standard Chargers?

The Cobra will lose its stripes.
The premium Ford GT will keep its stripes but the stripes will either turn black or white depending on the color you choose to paint your car. For example if you paint it in a dark color the stripes will turn white and vice versa. The same goes for the premium Camaro(both old and new).
The premium Challenger(both new and old) will keep its stripes black no matter what color you paint it.

I know because I have,
a matt black Ford GT with white stripes,
matt black Camaro(both old and new) with white stripes,
matt black Challenger(both old and new) with black stripes and
a matt black 430 Scuderia with white stripes.

Sadly, yes.

My GT's didnt loose there stripes when i painted them.

I thought he was talking about the standard Ford GT, which does lose it's stripes correct? I thought the Camaro and Challenger loses them too. I'm quite forgetful about these little things.

There are 2 standard '05 road version and 1x '02 prototype version, '05 striped and '05 no-stripe, the '02 prototype is only striped. Paint the striped and it will retain its stripes.
