I have a feeling Pd is really fudging us msucle guys over here. They FINALY add drag racing, and they aren't gunna have **** for muscle.... well not anything that's legendary:
Super-Bee
Boss 429
Javeline
Yenko Carmaro
GT500 KR
GTO Judge
I mean cmon, would it really be drag racing without the proper cars to make it interesting? Oh maby if they dropped 3 or 4 of the Skylines and about the same for those worthless evos they could fit in some cars that DESERVE to be in Gran Turismo. And yes Evo's are worthles. Don't beleive me? Well just ask any of about 3,000+ Evo owners who have had nothing but problems and Mistubishi refuses to fix these problems! Turbos are blowing out and dieing, timing is going wayy off. All sorts of issues. In the current issue of Car And Driver they hae a small article about it.
You can read it Here
Yeah can realloy give a Mustang Cobra competition, peice of crap rice burners! Proof again that America just does high performance better than Japan! Especialy in the under $40,000 category

Yeah how can you have drag racing without muscle cars. I'm only going to have to play with 3 cars to drag race. 👎 I think that if we drop a couple of Skylines or Lancers the fans won't be disappointed because they've got plenty to spare.

When you type, can you actually see what you're typing?

This rabid, xenophobic idiocy is just laughable.

Let's read your link, shall we?

"Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution owners began posting notices on Evo-enthusiast Web sites saying their warranties had been canceled because they'd participated in timed racing events or installed aftermarket goodies on their cars."

So, in reality, the car owners want Mitsubishi to honour a warranty when someone else has been working on their engine? Whose fault is that?

"Typical of all carmakers, Mitsubishi's warranty states that "problems or failures related to racing, alteration, and/or vehicle modifications are not covered conditions."

Typical of all car-makers? Not just evil, worthless Japanese ones?

Have you read a car warranty lately? Do you seriously expect that, if you buy a new car and fit aftermarket engine tuning parts at a garage other than the manufacturer's, then race the car, the manufacturer should bear the cost if anything then goes wrong in the engine?

Let us not forget that several hundred drivers of the Explorer were killed, because Ford refused to acknowledge a problem even existed.

But no, you continue your tirade on behalf of 3000+ (where DID you get that number) Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution owners who want something for nothing - ignoring the 50,000+ Lancer Evolution owners who've don't have a problem - against the evil Japanese car manufacturer's empire.

It's idiots like you that give car enthusiasts a bad name.

And that guy from Utah said he wasn't given the benefit of the doubt yet he ran the car in an autocross event, even though the speed arn't high he'll have still had the engine running at almost constant high rev's.

Well said Famine.

Sorry buddy but if you reffering to the flipping explorers...that was a tire problem! Proven fact.
And even people who are running stock Evo's are having probs. And the 3000+ figure is pulled from the # of requests to fix these types of problems Mitsu certified garages and dealerships are getting. And if Mitsu doesn't want people to race with the cars then nix the high-performance image, not that there was one anyway. And yeah go head to head with someone who works in an autobody and knows cars... and my father and my grandfather have been mechanics for years. And I know people who are big time mechanics and technicians. And about that Explorer issue, Ford actualy paid for the repairs and gave the people with servere injuries settlements. So Ford admited their fault and paid for it too. Mistu is denying people with Evos any sort of repairs and they specifically hunt out individuals who could possibly be racing with their Evo. As far as I have seen and experienced the only Japanese car company that deserves a pat on the back is Subaru. So few of these cars come in for repairs it's not even funny. And even fewer are the WRX STi's. Most are like 10+ year old wagons that where in an accident or need a minor fixing or a tune-up. So Kudos to Suby on that one! 👍
And go ahead post whatever you want in reply but I personaly don't give a damn and I won't be replying to it. I know that I know my stuff and the ASE and I-CAR certification certificates tell me I do too! Plus I have 6 years of experience and my father and grandfather have shared countless years of experience in information with me. I not saying I know it all but I'm more than the average enthusiast.

Actually, I'm not. Guess again. "Buddy".

The article you quoted to "support" your claim that Mitsubishi are "worthless" does not back you up. If you have further "evidence" to present, please do so. At the moment it's professional journalists saying the Mitsubishi are sticking to their warranty conditions. I can see nothing wrong with that.

In this country at least, Mitsubishi does not advertise the Evolution models.

That aside, you have heard of the World Rally Championship, haven't you?

Perhaps Ferrari should be made to fix their owner's cars under warranty, after crashing them at three-figure speeds? After all, if they don't want them to go that fast, they wouldn't make the go that fast. Right?

No. They are denying people warranty repairs when there is evidence that people have breached the warranty conditions.

Why is it that people want something for nothing?

They have denied actively searching for people who have modified/raced their cars. This being the case, you are making a very serious allegation.

Whereas in the rest of the world Subaru, while topping JD Power customer satisfaction surveys, are one of the worst Japanese manufacturers for reliability and cost of repair. Mazda top everyone, with Toyota (and Lexus, naturally) just behind.

Indeed not. That would require some thought and evidence - both of which you've yet to show.

But thanks for your permission to reply to you!

Ah. The picture emerges. You share your forebears' prejudices... After all, Mitsubishi built the engines for Zero fighters, and have a propeller-shaped logo. They must be worthless then.

Your not the brightest, how can you say they never had a high performance image. Also what Famine was on about as he said is not the tyres. Mitsubishi is only invalidating the warranties on car that have aftermarket parts or are raced which goes for every other company too. In your other post you said this was proof the Japanese cars can't compete with UIS cars for under $40,000. Bollocks, I'm sorry but in terms of Bhp the Mustang and co are good, but on a track cars like the Impreza, Evo and RX8 even will put up more than a good fight, compare a mustang at a similar price to an Evo that sells in Japan for a similar price to the Mustang's price in the US and the Evo/Impreza/RX8 will win in value every time, hell you could buy an R34 when they were in production for under $40k from Japan.

Hello this is the real Ford 429 Hemi. Those last posts where made by my nephew. I am deeply sorry for any problems or innconveininces he has cause here. He was spending the night and I figured that he is mature enough to be responsible with a computer. Apparently not. He has changed my account info on various website forums. One site he had me advertising that I owned a Ferrari. I obviously do not. I have the 68 Mustang stated in my signature. A history of mechanics does run in our family, and while each generation has a preffered make or model, they do not instill it upon the next generation. Otherwise everyone in our family would drive a Chevy pick-up. Surprising what a 15 year old can do when your back is turned. Again I am deeply sorry for any trouble, and I definatly will be having a word with my sister and my soon to be brother in law.

yeah it would be nice seeing as dropping some of those cars say for example just halve the amount of skylines and you have room for a hundred more muscle cars

but yeah TOO many of those cars which practicaly are all the same. I see no difference between the tommi makinen evo and the normal one, they are the same thing except for the scheme

Yeah on one set of forums he said I was a 32 year old veitnamese hooker.. they didn't beleive him thankfuly. But going through and reading some of the stuff was rather humorouse. but still he shouldn't have done that. Any who I figure I iwll give my 2cents on the Evo thing. Yes a few Evo's did have problems under normal use, but those are the normal freak accidents tha thppen within the first month of owning a car. And they weren't really mjor. They where silly things like knobs on the dash popping off and the glove compartment box falling off. Well those are the ones my fellow workers have seem to have seen. But ya know things like that don't deteriorate a car's image. And I think a few of those may have been due to clumsiness on behalf of the owner. Oh but I do remember a guy came in with an imported Evo 8, he had bent his right front rim by accident when he hit a pothole..ouch! So we contacted a company that specializes in fixing bent or cracked rims. They did a very nice job, looked better than when it came from Japan. lol 👍

You do realise that GT4 is actually out now, and you can find out if any of those cars are included by playing the game?
