TC 1 is a good call. The cobra is best if you carry momentum as often as possible too, so try to straight line your breaking as much as possible, and roll through the corners.

Slipstream when you can.
Get close to the apexes of each corner.
Try and carry as much speed as you can through each corner.
Every 1mph will help.
