Ok, I ask a music trivia question and whoever answers correctly first gets to ask the next question. Whoever answers that question asks the next question and so on.

New rule: if you don't ask a question within 24 hours of answering a question correctly, you suck, and lose your turn. Sorry.

What was the original name of the Beatles before they changed their name to the Beatles in 1960?

It started off as John and The Blackjacks, then they went to The Quarry Men, then changed to Johnny and the Moondogs, then they went to Silver Beetles, then fianlly to The Beatles

Who wrote and composed the original score to the opera play "Cosi Fan Tuti"?
Actually, I believe it was "Long John and the Silver Beatles" which doesn't really make much sense as a name.

Anyway, Cosi Fan Tuti was written and composed by W. A. Mozart.

Correct?

Both of mine were off the top of my head. And I have no idea who wrote the libretto to Cosi Fan Tuti, if it wasn't Mozart.

OK, I guess I need to provide the next question:

Current watchers of Nickleodeon channel credits have seen the name Mark Mothersbaugh. Who is he and what is his claim to fame?

Isn't that the dude from Devo? Whip it and whip it good

I don't know what his claim to fame is though, unless being part of Devo is his claim to fame.

Though I assume has something to do with a theme to some cartoon on Nickelodeon.

Let's give it a few minutes to see if somebody comes up with a more specific answer...

OK, Klos wins by default...

Mark Mothersbaugh was the singer, main songwriter, and one of the guitarists, for Devo. That's what I was considering his claim to fame.

He's also written the theme and a lot of score music to Rugrats, Rocket Power, and others.

OK, Klos, bring it on...

No, my guess is something by the Beatles - I Wanna Hold Your Hand ?

"The Twist" by Chubby Checker

And an easy one...

In 1992 Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" spent 14 weeks at #1. Who wrote it?

AO

nope

Side note: as a teen we always refered to Barry Manilow as Barely man enough.

Keep guessing.

Which song contains the lyrics...
"So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone, you know I feel okay"?

that would be a beattles tune...

"A hard days night"

Yes?

And correct on the Dolly question. I think she did a better job on it than Whitney did.
