I have been using a Verizon email adress since starting on GTplanet but suddenly it says my account has been "de-activated"(aka cant post).

I dont really have any other email addresses to add a new one...

I'm going to assume you've already seen this entry in the FAQ?

Verizon started blocking email from GTPlanet's server two days ago, and until they remove it from their block list, there's nothing that you or I can do about it. However, you can easily create another, free email account at Gmail or Yahoo Mail in just a few minutes, then activate your account with that address.

Also my inbox is accepting emails from GTP because I just got a notification about a private message here on gtplanet 5 days ago on May 15th. So I dont know how it happened.

Tree'd!!!

Thanks for answering that. Verizon is so bogus nowadays....

First they stopped there website from working on Google Chrome....
Now this...

Yeah, this is about the third or fourth time they've blocked email from GTPlanet over the years, creating a tremendous headache for everyone involved. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Correction...They fixed the google chrome issue!*proceeds to remove Internet explorer...*.
Why would they add GTPlanet to block list...How can they block emails from a sender i want to recieve mail from...

They, and other Internet service providers, often seem to have severely over-zealous "spam detection" services. Instead of marking something they deem suspicious as "spam", filing it in a specified folder, and then letting you decide whether or not it's really junk mail, they completely block all email from the server for all their customers.

This has happened probably a few dozen times to GTPlanet with various ISPs around the world. I then get to spend a few days filing paper work and making phone calls to get the site "whitelisted", only to usually find it's blocked again several months later, and the process starts all over again.

This is one of many reasons I don't recommend people use the email account provided by their ISP.
