I had my doubts, but after a few days of checking it out, I am left in awe. WiFi anyone? Great feature, and already have him hooked up to my wireless network for internet play and firmware updates. Im sure theres going to be (probably already out there) software for browsing the net, checking emails, ect. Graphic quality is awesome although the glare on the screen from being so glossy can be a problem. Scratch protectors might help with this. With 512mb memory sticks being the largest available size at my local stores, storage seems lacking, but I know that larger storage options are just around the corner. It would be nice if you could have alteast 2GBs for all your favorite mp3s ect. Havent watched a movie on it yet, but the demo disk was impressive. No graphical anomalies that I could see. After loading some mp3s as well as custom pics for slide shows, my wife would even like one now. Im looking forward to possibly getting a couple more down the road, one for me and my wife as well for some multiplayer portability. Pretty cool feature. The menu system is easy to navigate and its cool looking as well. It was a major toss up between the DS and PSP in this case, and the PSP just seemed to be more versatile making the extra cost justifiable. So, if you have to portability and want more than just a hand held console, you might want to look at the PSP. Looking for PSP mods

Just discovered that Working Emulators Such as MIME as well as a suite of other emulators for "other" portable systems. This is of course to play strickly legal ROM's. Internet browsing is also available with a modified version of Wipeout's browser. Interesting developments for such a young product. Good things are instore, I believe for this portable entertainment box.
