Well I've noticed people on here making great 3D renders. I made my own engine instead of a whole car. I have a problem with detail. I need to make parts of the engine as detailed as possible... making render times in the 10+ minutes. Well your feedback will be greatly appreciated... Also, does anyone know where I can get a model of a Trueno hatch-back? I want to add on to one so I can see the changes that I made on my real Trueno.

Thank you. I'm trying out a new (obviously outlandish) design and I made some sort of intake system that says "QUAD CAM 60" on top which is for four cam, 60-valve. It's similar to Toyota's engines (I work for Toyota), but it looks wrong on this engine so I most likely will get rid of it. If I find a Trueno model, I'll design the engine that's in my Trueno... but nobody has a model of it and I'm desperate because boredom is killing me.... Nice to talk to a super modder.

I'm the supervisor of mechanics at the central Toyota dealership in Tokyo. I think my profile says something about it.

Mechanical Engineering or something by the looks of that. Am I right?
Not at that stage yet... I'm just waiting to be promoted to a little group of guys called TRD... only time will tell...

Very cool! What did you use to make that?
A program called Rhinoceros. You can get a trial version of it on www.rhino3d.com. Of course there're other ways of getting it, but it's fairly simple and it gets the job done. I'll go ahead and post more pictures.

Thank you guys... I'm still looking for a Trueno model. I really want to make the 4A-GELU. I had a guy who was going to give me his model, but his computer crashed and he said he lost all the information... so I was mad.

Hey,
Thats freaking amazing as a picture. If you were making it to go in a actual car it would probably be dangerous since the pistons stick out or, I think those are the pistons correct me if I'm wrong. Otherwise its freaking amazing and the turbines really nice.
Peace,

Thanks, are you talking about the round things in the middle of the engine? If you are, just look at an old Ferrari race engine.

Uh, i think all these "pretty good" and "nice work" comments should be shoved down the peoples throats? Yeah. This is the best flipping work i've ever seen.

Keep up the good work, i command more pictures. 👍

Thank a lot Giancarlo... what you said makes me feel really good considering that yesterday was the worst day possible... Thanks a lot though. I will get more pictures after I install Rhinoceros on my new computer.

Yea, you don't see much 3-D work on these forums its all lets trace cars in photoshop, so last month.
I noticed that too. Although they look pretty cool (vector art is cool), it's not "their" original work. I'm very happy on how this came out, but I don't have enough time to focus on making something like a car body. My friend that lives in the U.S. is in the process of making a body that he is using for a school project, but from the pictures he sent me, it's starting to look good... for a Dodge.
