Hello, GT Planet. I am a newcomer to this forum site.

My name is John M. Nice to get to see all of you here. I guess to introduce myself, I'll start with Gran Turismo, because this is the kind of stuff we all like, right? So here goes (if the list is too long for you, go three paragraphs down):

In the GT Series, I have played all three GTs. I've beaten only one (which was the first). To me, I don't want to beat ANY Gran Turismo game. It's kind of like I want to keep playing and playing without even thinking about beating an entire game. Gran Turismo 1 was one of my favorites. I mean, in what other video game can you mod out a Mitsubishi 3000GT to 930 hp, top speed of 240 mph, and can drift anywhere on the track you please? Plus, it had Special Stage R11, which is not an easy track, but just to burn rubber on city streets while racing professionally is pretty gosh darned cool, you know?

GT2, I lost faith in the 3000GT, but slipped into something more comfortable. Does a 971 hp, 260 mph Toyota GT-One sound nice? Heh... So, I got into all the different cars, and that Vector M12 can hit 100 in only 2nd gear. That is amazing. GT2 had my favorite rally course, which was Smokey Mountain North.

GT3 was out of this world. I Kind of consider GT3 as a GT1 for PS2. That may offend some people, but most of the car makes from GT2 made it to GT3 with the inclusion of Gillet and Tickford. I like Japan a lot, and so I loved racing the streets of Tokyo while listening to some Japanese music. SSR11 was back and while not easier, it was still fun and dazzling. And the F1 cars? When I raced Super Speedway's endurance (for NASCAR/IRL fans mostly), I bagged a F/090s. It rocked. I tried endlessly to get a F/686 from Seattle's endurance, and got that.

So I am a Gran Turismo veteran, and as of this posting, I cannot wait for GT4. I am 20 years old, and I'll feel like I'm 8 years old playing it. GT4 might be the only racing game I'd get all 2004 for my PS2. Unless R: Racing Evolution gets good ratings, then GT4 will be my pick. I like eundurance/sportscar road racing, NFL/NCAA football, and those pretty JGTC Race Queens. Well, nice meeting you all. Let's do forums!

Welcome to GTPlanet John. Enjoy your stay.

Take a look at some of the on-line racing we are already doing. Just click on my signature. 👍

See ya at the track.

Welcome John, it's good to see someone else who likes taking command of a 3000GT in Gran Turismo. :)

Tell me you're not a fan of the latter pathetic excuse for a racing series, please.

Either way, hope you enjoy your stay in the land of the GTPness... Don't feed the animals, and stay far, far away from that guy, Klostrophobic. He's a weirdo, i tell you.

Welcome to GTP John. I totally agree with you about the correlation between GT1 and 3.

And tell me, the first time you dove something really quick through the back section of R246, did the speed sensation hit you?

Anyway, this is a GT site, but there are heaps of chats going on about other stuff too. Check it out.

Hey, always glad to have more members who can string together coherent sentences on any subject. Welcome aboard GTPlanet!

Decent spelling, grammar, and someone's who's played through all three GT games. Our holy webmaster, Jordan, must be using an alias again, right? :)

Welcome to GTPlanet, JohnBM01. Topics range from the Pink Vitz to Politics. It's all rather fun.

Haha, w00t. Welcome to the forums, have plenty of fun here. :)

Welcome, come to GTP. Glad you're here for all the same reasons as above. I have nothing memorable or witty to add to that.

To not sound like everyone else that has already posted I'm not going to welcome you. Nope I changed my mind.

Welcome to GTPLANET.net - Covering the World of Gran Turismo and lots of other stuff.

Am I seeing things? A new member who can successfully use grammar and proper spelling AND a full stop all in the same post? Welcome to GTP, JohnBM01!

Yes, you are seeing things. We all are. He does not exist. He's too good to be true.

I would say, "Welcome to GTP! Enjoy your stay!" but you are not real, so I wont.

:D
