This is my sequential shifter mod for the Logitech Driving Force GT racing wheel for PS3 and PC. I apologize for not having pictures of the method.
I basically disassembled the shifter after unbolting it and cut the "golf ball" knob off, right at the top of the actual stick. I then added and short length of thin tubing onto the bolt, as the nut on the end of it will not screw up further than a tiny bit from the bottom. I then wrapped duct tape around the remaining "stick" and made it fit snugly into a length of PVC or metal piping. It can be as long as you wish, turning it into a longer stick shifter or a handbrake. I embellished the stick with more duct tape and an end cap for the piping.
It looks pretty legit now...
I will post pictures a bit later, as I am on my iPad right now, in browser mode.
