My disc doesn't work anymore. :(

Hey I'm new here! But anyway, my disc has kind of been acting funny for awhile and now it just doesn't work at all. It isn't the ps2 because my other games work fine. I've had to clean my GT3 disc a lot so I might have just worn it down too much. Anyone have any cleaning suggestions?

I had the same issue and the problem didn't lie with the disk.

If your PS2 is a bit older, the laser lense might need a cleaning, or, in the worst case scenario, the laser might be dying. This has been a issue with the PS2's that first came out.
If this is the case, you might luck out and be able to adjust the lasers "voltage" to fix the issue.

If you do a search on Google or Yahoo, you can easily find instructions on how to execute this procedure. Also search this site as I know it's been discussed before.

I just went and bought a new one for 10 bucks and now it's fine.

Simple solution, shame it happened. Wonder if BluRay discs will be better.
