We all know Kaz has started working on GT6 and his vision will not get sidetracked. Maybe thats why he don't listen to the community because he doesn't want to.

This 👍

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen... is the main problem of PD and the GT franchise... :ouch: :ouch:

It would be great if GT6 has the following feature:

You can select the track you want to race on;
You can select each of your opponents;
You can select if the other cars are stock or fully tuned;
You can select the number of laps;
You can select the difficulty level (easy, medium, hard, very hard);
You can select the time of day.

Sound's like arcade mode. :)

*Puts Shift 2 into his PS3.*
Problem solved :sly:

That is exactly what i am about to do. I have that game now for almost a month. Time to unwrap it.

I am sure i will return to GT5 in the near future though.

All of these things like career progression and joining racing teams just aren't what Gran Turismo is to me, you know? For me, GT is a world map, a ton of cars, some license tests, A-spec, et al.

I'd be happy if they redid GT2 with current graphics.

Guys, Shift2 is a nice game as a project. But, physics aren't good enough and controller input lag and sensitivity are unbearable.

You need to get NFS Shift 2, it's pretty much exactly like this without the whole B Spec thing. You start out in the crappy cars and work your way up to the FIA GT1 Championship. Lots more fun than GT5.

I think I might be getting NFS Shift 2 after this description. Still love GT5 but it needs a proper career mode.

if we're talking dreams then.
GT mixed with google earth, so i can drive across America or from Portugal to Siberia all in real time on the real roads and online with ya friends ( top gear style road trip )
Even drive to the track you want to race on
would probably take 30 years to make it tho :(

I played Shift 2 for a little while this afternoon and Rotorist is right.

who the **** cares about gt6 and its release in 2017. gt5 is here now its 8 months old and they should be implementing some of these features now. if not i guess ill cross sides to forza 4 in 3 months.yas are talking about gt6 when we have gt5 now that we all got shafted on

Just want everything to be a bit better than what we got in this GT5..

very simple things to do..

Car damage.. Get with the times..

Make a good AI.. not robots CANT pass will move off the race line LOL LOL

pick cars to go against.

show the car type not the name durning the race..
just a few BIG things that could make its alot better..

I would like GT6 to take graphics lessons from Grid. Damage lessons from Shift. Car selection lessons from both of those games. Oh and what this guy said:

another simple thing would be. something like grid.. get a team, team mate can race with you or somewhere else at the same time..
Have a SEASON. would kind of make sense to have a full out season in a racing game LOL..

commentary, from your race mate or pit crew on strategy, updates on times or other racers.. ect ect.

It's a great game. (Yes it is a game, so is GT5)
There is no reason you won't like the game. It has all the features this thread is asking for, so you should like it.
I'm not saying it'll make you quit GT5, bu if you mess with the controller settings enough, you'll love the game.

What's with GT5 players saying Shift's physics aren't on par with GT5.
I'm not saying Shift is better than GT5, but they're on the same level.
Shift 2 has real time tire deformation, REALISTIC drafting, and etc.
They both have their pros and cons.

Shift 2 has it

Shift 2 has it! (After the patch the AI is SPECTACULAR.)

I once saw a video of a guy posting a race in GT5 where he was AMAZED when an AI tried to pass him on a corner and spun out.
Well in Shift 2 AI mistakes are common (Not to the point where they suck) But they drive like you drive.
It's an exceptional game.

I played it for 3 hours in total and i am done with it.

The handling (steering) feels so wrong out of the box. Something is seriously wrong with this game. Sure, i can alter the settings and tune and what not but this garbage will remain underneath. It will never be OK. And i do not want to spend a lot of time setting all kind of things up.

The cars also seem to rotate instead of steer from the weels.

The cars feel like they float (at high speed).

Also it is like my car is a magnet to the opponents, i want to race not play bumper cars.

I have not really tested if there is a lag, i use the default PS3 controller. But it feels a little bit laggy to me.

What GT6 will/should have is pointless to speculate on. Doubly so in the GT5 section.
