Been practicing drifting in GT4 for a few weeks now, though im still very average, I had some time and whipped up a video today. First time Ive dabbled in video editing and first time Ive attempted a drift video.

295hp RX-7 FD, around midfield (reverse). You'll notice that I "tried" to cover up some mistakes with editing. Didnt work as well as I hoped. :yuck:

Be looking forward to make some more videos once I get more practice going.

All comments/tips are welcome.

Edit: Click on "FREE", then it should be available on the bottom of the next page. 6.88Mb. I tried some other hosts but had problems uploading to them :dunce:

Hmm. Was hoping for more feedback than this.

Perhaps sticking "Initial D style" in the title next time will get more attention.

Though, my video does have an initial D flavour put it.

hahah ;)

But not a bad vid. Got some decent angles, maybe work on extending the hang. Good start, keep practicing 👍

Downloading now, looking foward to it, the drifts themselves were pretty average, i can see a lot more potential, maybe if you carryed less angles around some of those longer corners you would make it through, nice editing job but i keep seeing this initial d theme popping up everywhere, yes its a good show if not great but couldn't we make it our own theme (im sorry if that came off quite harsh), great first vid, all in all 2.5/5

wow, ok i jus Dl the video, and it was very good. nice editing, i like the whole incorporate Initial D clips. keep up, looking foward to your next video

I thought the drifting was pretty good. I'd give it a B and an A for the one that was in the dirt practically the whole time(I love it.) Editing was nice and clean, but my views on initial D + gt are negatively biased.

im getting off topic here... quick question for all the folks at home, if you didn't know ID existed, would you ever listen to that kinda music?

fair enough, the music just reminds me of the 80s. too bad i'm leaving texas in 3 days, been seeing a couple from here. i really need to take my own advice and let evilgnome have his thread back

Not bad. Yeah I would be one the first to say that I am sick of all the Initial D obsession(even though I do watch it), but the clips you used were very tastfully done. So I won't complain about it here. Nice work.

Exaclty, there is nothing wrong with INitial D. Unless it's the end all-be all of your world of drifting and motorsport. I enjoy Initial D myself, it's really a lot of fun to watch how we all wish we were able to drive(and not get caught :sly: ) But that's where it should end.

Nice video. I think if your drifts carry more speed would look more Initial D, cause they r not doing show drifts, they r racing. Maybe replay the video at 1.1X speed would do the trick.

sweet editing! i love the music too! I need to get my initial D DVD's back from my friend so i can show them to my GF... maybe then she will understand?! i doubt she will have the patience to watch past the first episode.. :(

anyways.. GREAT drifts! love it!

geat editing, I like that track, that's where I learned most of my drifting techniques. You got some angles on your run. But you coulda've drifted the whole way on the last turn. I'll be putting up a video of me drifting on that track later on. Anyways, how do you get your file to be small?? my video is crappy quality but huge. lol.
