Hey guys I thought I would share with you my first simulator. My mate won a tx wheel as a prize and I purchased it off him cheap an got a stand. I played forza for a while then when I found out there were so many racing games on pc the rest is history. Check it out.

The early days in front of the projector.

Then I got some csps and a th8. Also dsd adaptors and a sparco drift wheel.

My css sq came in so I converted the th8 to a hand brake and added a dsd button box and a nexus 7 tablet for my race dash

Now it was time to go nuts triple monitor stand and roof

Once all the roof was done it started to sag so I made some additional supports with caster wheels and added a cup holder.

I installed a hook for my spare wheel and added speakers. In case your wondering my tx wheel stopped working and thrustmaster was less than helpfull so I purchased a csw with both rims.

And here's my final result and a panorama of my cinema games room.

All that's left is to wrap the top of the roof and change my chair. It's a bit uncomfortable. Thanks for viewing.

That wheel and pedal stand is phenomenal, did you make that yourself?

Nah it from a company called trak racer. All I did was weld the removable joins to make them stronger and put carpet slides on the buttom rather than the stock rubber feet.

👍 Very nice :) I especially like the closed feel of the screens.

Thanks guys. It's now my choice for all games. I can pull the simulator out and use it on the projector still or pull the screens over to the couch, recline and play anything. The whole idea of this project was to be versatile.

Very nicely done! 👍
You are off to one hell of a start for your first simulator!

Thanks bud but technically it isn't my first simulator. I made one 10 years ago for v8 supercars out of a shelving kit. It was crap and I gave it away shortly after.

What on earth do you do for a living lol

Hahaha. I work in retail at autobarn selling ang fitting stereos and performance gear. I do deals for a lot of companies so when it comes time for favors I get stuff cheap. A penny saved is a penny earnt.

Using pvc for triple monitor mounts is pretty brilliant in my opinion. Wish I would of thought of it before I shelled out the dough to make mine out of 80/20.:banghead:

Thanks bud but I didn't think of it myself. I was going through posts people cockpits and getting ideas, then adding my own little twists.

If you wouldn't mind, could I trouble you for some dimensions of the PVC monitor stand. It is absolutely marvelous and would like to replicate it providing that you would like to share that with me.

Yeah I could get you the dimensions if you like but what dimensions would you like though?

Congratulations. Amazing setup!

It might also be one of the fastest progressions in sim racing I've seen. You went from buying a TX from your buddy and playing Forza to having a triple screen killer setup like this! It couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 months. Wow.

Yeah it didn't take long once I got a taste.
