My G25 Might Be Faulty - Help Me Please!

I have just purchased the Logitech G25. The paddle shifts do not work correctly. The left one changes up instead of down and the right one does not work at all. They are correctly set up in the options. I think I may have a fault with the gearstick. When I turn the dial anti-clockwise it only goes half way (to around the 11 o'clock position) and the gearshift travels downward. This happened to me the first time I used it but then the shifters started working. It has now reverted back. Do I have a fault or have I missed something?
 
push the gear stick in then move the dial.

if you dont the dial wont move all the way around
 
The gearshift is suppose to travel downward. You must push it in at the same time that you turn the dial. You have to do that to put it in sequential mode. Some cars must be in sequential mode to use the paddle shifters. The sequential mode does shift weird though, up shifts down, and down shifts up. I know that the car i use to have was not like that, I don't know if other cars are like that or not, but I can't even use the sequential shifting because of it. I just use the paddles instead.

That's the standard. Every sequential manual transmission I know of shifts that way, including race-prepped touring cars or rally cars. I think only some manumatic transmissions (the automatics that let you "shift") have it the other way around.

It's similar to a motorcycle's shifter in that you "push" to shift down and "pull" to shift up.

I guess I just haven't ever driven any decent cars before. The one's I was referring to were a Toyota celica, and a hyundai tiburon. I guess neither is a good car to use as a reference.
Any fast car I have ever driven was either a stick shift or an automatic.
 
Is reverse under 6th gear working when using clutch?Not in mine,is that broken?I think that isn't supported yet?

Mine works fine. You have to push down on the shifter while shifting into 6th.
The same way you push down when switching to sequential shifting.
