hey guys, after a search i can't find this issue addressed, so thanks if anyone can advise.
I've had my G27 for about 6 months and really like it. After trying cranking up the ffb one day, it started making rattling noises. ( I've turned the ffb back to 5.)The wheel now wobbles in the body. Do you think I broke it or is there something I can tighten. The wheel works flawlessly otherwise, except for the harsh rattle on curbs.
TIA

Well the G27 does make some clacking noises due to the helical gears it uses, this happens when the FFB kicks in or when rapidly steering, this is normal.
Having the wheel wobble is not normal, but how much does it wobble exactly?
There's normally a bit of play in these, but its hard to know if what your seeing is within that range or not.

thanks for reply grog. with a left/right wiggle probably about 1/8 inch. Top to bottom, no wiggle at all. I'm thinking it needs to go back as its only 6 months old.

I may have a similar issue (sorry to hi-jack your thread nosoks) but I seem to get some sort of slipping feeling during cornering. I guess it makes some kind of rattle noise when it does it. Anybody know if this is normal?

I just checked mine and there is 1/16 of an inch of play side to side and up and down. So that seems like something did break or crack internally.

I would try to get it fixed under the warranty if I were you.

Well that's hard to tell with your description. these wheel do rattle a bit but they shouldn't feel like they're slipping.
Does it feel like the force feedback is cutting out, going off and on, off and on?
How old is the wheel?
Are you using the power steering setting in GT? That makes the wheel go light under hard cornering (do not use this setting its terrible).

Thanks for the reply grog. It's hard to explain really. Occasionally in a corner it'll feel like it slips a tiny bit but now that I've tested it more it seems like that's happening when there's a bump mid corner so maybe it's nothing wrong. The wheel is brand new, just got it Friday. I'll play around with it a bit more and see if I can describe it better.
