My Goodwood Festival of Speed 2006 Visit

Well, guys, I’d have to say this year is better than the last. Many more cars I liked were there, and I managed to take pictures of them, and more. I managed to take 350+ and decided to share some of the best ones with you.

Here, a dyno test was being done on a Porsche GT3 with normal fuel, then with the new 102 Octane Ultimate fuel from BP. There’s quite a difference!

Nissan Silvia D1 Drift Car:


This is a PINK Nissan Micra. What caught my attention was these guys were sitting in it! I HAD to get them on camera:


Some bike/car thing that was featured on Top Gear a few years ago. I overheard one of the staff say that this can tilt from 0 to 45 degrees in half a second!


Here, you could go on a ride in a Land Rover over a small obstacle course. It didn’t look that thrilling at first, but some of the angles the cars climb are pretty steep. Once, a car fell off the ramp – it was funny: :lol:


A Ferrari FXX! In Blue and White?


Can anyone tell me what this car is?



Here are the videos I took:

- this contains almost all the supercars taking off at the startline, along with some of the Wacky Racer's cars :lol:. It was raining, so some has serious traction issues! I missed the Zonda and a few others though, as at the time I was getting my camera ready... :(

- this is one of the Renault F1 cars revving. After this, they played the French(I think) anthem with the engine! I didn't know they were going to do this, so I never had the camera out to film it. I was lucky to get to the front of the crowd too - I looked behind and there were several rows of people trying to look over me.

Well, that’s it! There were many more in the car park too, but I was too worn out to take any of them. It’s just a shame I never saw the McLaren F1, Jaguar XJ220 etc this year. I’m not sure if they were even there or not.

I thought the plate was obsurd, so I didn't think that was the name of the car.

There were a few there actualy, but I never got to see them close up. I would have taken some photos otherwise. :)

There are so many cars there I really don't know. I keep moving back to that Zonda F though, it really looks nice in Orange.

The XJ220 was there, but it was in disguise... :) I'll let you try and work out which body it was in. It's in the programme, if you got one. Clue: it was in Class 9.

It was around where them campervans were, scattered around the dealerships somewhere. It was so large there I can't pin-point the location.

No programme. The clue does nothing for me. :lol:
 
About 1GB of photos I think. On my camera, it must have been about 100mbs of video.

No, really. It's got the engine, gearbox and suspension from an XJ220.



Justin Law did timed runs up the hill in it - fastest was about 63 seconds, I think, and it crossed the finish line at 92mph.
